For certain. This feels really reminiscent of what happened with Planetfall too. Where as Planetfall got really good at the end of its development and then was just done.

They confirmed a next season of updates will come. Just not in what form it will take.

I honestly hope they drop this game and go back to their roots and make a proper game like AoW2 or AoW3

Tbf, the DLC are pretty small and once the promised season pass is over the game will probably be abandoned like planetfall. This kinda game needs support for far, far longer to become a real classic.

@@redliquid6775 well, I can't agree as the game seems pretty good built for me already. But I really would like to see another season pass for or may be some kind of large DLC. Probably they will continue the support and development of the game as Paradox Interactive, let be honest, not at very good situation, and AOE3 now is one of the most succesfull titles of the studio by reviews if not the best (guess right after CKIII). I can't tell what is profit from it though, but anyways

@@ivanorlan It's good. But it lacks the content to last. Planetfall has barely 200 players (less than AOW3) If you want this to be a good yet forgetable game, then yes. It's solid and this will do. But to have a chance to become something bigger it just needs a lot more. And I don't even think it'll get a second season of DLC. This game is GOOD, but I'd love to see it become something huge.

I disagree. I loved Primal Fury. I don't like this one as much. It is too diverse.

​@@KeimpeJ Primal Fury needs some buffs especially with the low tier buffs coming in but flavor/aesthetic wise I think Primal Fury is probably my favorite

​@@KeimpeJ I far prefer this over the singularity that was empires and ashes. Reavers need some major work at some point because they feel far too bottle necked into a singular playstyle compared to the rest imo.

What do you mean it "lacks" a "titan lord" and "behemoth lord"? The dragon already qualifies for "big beast". Also the shadow realm from 2 had shadow demons, which are insect species, in it, that's why insects came in this one.

It is a considerable economic saving. I've never played that game anyway, so it's not an issue for me

It would be best if they could also walk on land (they would have legs on land and a mermaid tail in water) and it wouldn't matter if they were weaker on land if they were stronger in the sea and could be focused on luring enemy units into traps = forced movement to the luring unit and at the same time focused on charming enemy units. I would really like it as some form of new culture. And of course Mermaid as a neutral unit too🙂

technically the last dlc had mermaids but the top half was fish instead lol

I think they meant island designs are handcrafted and there are many umbral islands variations. So umbral abyss maps will be different in every game.

It is not a patch. It is a dlc.

They should add skills that increase the tier of cultural units

@@erosgritti5171 yes, and also skills that places interactive objects on the battlefields such totems, mines, walls and other things that spice the tactic part of the game. I always recomand to try Pillars of Eternity 2 in turn based mode to understand the difference

Age of Wonders has always been all about the magic, in one way or another, in the first one you could win simply by drowning the entire map with the water sphere for example, the "medieval" part has never been the greatest focus, it's not even an inherent "pillar" of 4x.

@@dezdannaselaphiel8634 so isn't eldritch. Also not part of 4x. Me stating what I would like to see has nothing to do with the genre. Even Magic is not always part of 4xgames. I do see where your confusion comes from so i changed one sentence in my earlier message.
