I like the IC-7300, however, as a CW op, I found the K2/100 much more pleasing to the ears. Additionally, I'd like to see exactly what filter settings were employed for both rigs and without the preamps. Put 'em both at 200 Hz sans preamps and I suspect we'd get a much clearer comparison. I'll keep the K2/100, thanks.
Well the K2 was much easier on the ears to listen too...The 7300 had all that DSP echo you get with modern radios..Awful to listen too after a while..Thanks for the video though.
I sold this radio a long time ago but from memory it was a very popular mid which allows you to ‘zero beat’ the incoming signal. When the green LED lights, you are either very near or on the same freq.
