I'd love to get this K4 transceiver having built the KX3 a number of years ago. Where does the K4 get the reference for the internal clock? Is that an user setting or from some other source?
Why are you transmitting out of band on 5MHz WWV? Not cool, even if for a moment. Your power was set to 100w (as indicated on the radio in the corner), not 0.6 like you mentioned in the video. Your a licensed Extra, you are supposed to be better than this.
@@damonkj7e If you pass me going 56 MPH in Lake Hughes I won't send your license plate to the state police. By the way I also didn't log CQ's when I was required to in my log. I also didn't accurate log transmitter readings when I was a chief engineer. The Optimod is a waste of money.
@@K1OIK Your video has nothing to do with speeding, it has everything to do with improper, careless, lazy operating of Amateur radio gear outside of the Amateur radio bands. You even mention it as such in your video and try to "justify" it by incorrectly claiming the power level trying to imply it may even be legal when its not. Dude, you screwed up then publicly put it on the internet for all to see. Your now deflecting this by bringing up hypotheticals on a completely irrelevant topic.
