I slacked off a whole year of university to organize and ever since then, you guys who left the cult have done so much to build on that little starting point, we've seen so much media coverage, documentaries, people are no longer scared to criticize scientology and you're a huge part of that. Thank you Tory! I'm just checking in. Being in a cult is ALWAYS the opposite of what they pretend to strive for. I was in a different cult than you, and it was the same. I viewed outsiders VERY DIMLY when I was in it. When I finally became free of cultish ideas and was living amongst the "unwashed", I found friends with much better character than the "friends" I had in the cult. Charitable, self-sacrificing, honorable, trustworthy, and funloving are traits my dear friends embody... which are the opposite of the traits among those "spiritually advanced" folks inside. I had been "institutionalized" for so long, I lost track of that FACT, and was so surprised by encountering that when I finally ventured out.
My favorite part about Scientology coming to light is watching all of the infighting between the X members. I think it really sheds light on how dysfunctional all of this was from the word go. It’s nice to watch it all fall apart
No matter who the president is, we the people need to unite, now more than ever. These federal elections are smokescreens, obfuscation.. Obama literally took the worst actions that Bush initiated and poured gasoline on them. Ending OUR immoral wars matter to me. So I see this political system, both sides, very clearly. Yes I am in touch with Andreas! Stacy.....not for a year or two. Writing and Helping others. I would have liked to have been a part of the Aftermath...but hey, so be it. Many of we "Old Timers" ...even before me who really would have been great to at least do one show about them and we who left in 2000+...that was not their interest. C'est la vie. I will be well, and you too. :)

Congratulations to the person leaving the cult. I agree with the country, we have allowed the country run by loud and obnoxious people. Political leaders need to listen to both sides and find the best solution. We can't only listen to one idea. Every generation always tries to make the world a better world and somehow we make it worse. But we know that the cult is getting smaller which is always a great thing.
