Day of massive upset for the Congress as the BJP established a brute majority in Madhya Pradesh, retook Rajasthan with a healthy margin and dashed Congress in Chhattisgarh - a state that was going to the Congress.
With virtually no presence in the Hindi Heartland - the Congress got a consolation prize in the form of Telangana. But that will be of little comfort - because with 2024 elections less than 5 months away - this puts a very big question mark over the Congress and the INDIA alliance as well.
