It just reaffirms what we know to be. We love this club and it keeps giving us reasons to know its special. Just watching this video you cant count those reasons its too many. Keanooooo!
Pulsating game from start to finish! Michael Keane's stunning strike earned us a point we so richly deserved, after all what happened during the match! The crowd was amazing! Great to see Mike Lyons, our 1970's hero! And the "real" Harry, our own brave boy!🤗
Great to see Mick Lyons, he came very close to leading the Blues to the league championship in 1974 - 75. After getting results away at all the leading teams, and many at Goodison, a disastrous collapse at home to Sheff Utd, losing a 2 goal lead at half time, late in the season led to a drop on confidence and 2 more defeats against lowly teams that cost them the title. This could have led to a complete change in ending the barren spell in the early70s. Mick played a big role in Gordon Lee's battling team that gave fans great excitement in the FA Cup and league cup in 1977. What a side Everton would be if we had players like Mick, Bob Latchford, Martin Dobson, Dave Clements and Gary Jones in their side today. I also remember seeing Mick and other players in the Beech comer Club in Seel Street after away games in the mid 70s. The Sweet, T Rex and Chicory Tip was often on the disco floor. Wish Mick and his family all the best for the future. And his legacy of being part of the fabric of this special club.
Now there's a name synonymous with the club, and its long overdue success.Howard Kendall managed my club , Blackburn Rovers, He was brilliant, and I knew the minute Everton came calling, Kendall was perfect for turning them into winners, and He did, in no time at all. What a footballing legend.
Wow when Michael scored the equaliser it sounded like a nuclear bomb had gone off....the roar of those toffee supporters all yelling at once...scary but proud to wear the blue.
