Shaunda Siplin Tha bases are not wide enough or heavy enough to withstand the wind and and weather. they are best suited for indoors;)

It's because when you do balloons outside, you want to assume that there will be some wind, which would turn the balloons into a big sail. So you want a good footprint- I use a 2' x 2' base for outdoor balloons, and often add some 10lb weights to it. :~)
