Electric Callboy are the best! Great musicians that don't take themselves too seriously and their music videos are so funny, they have their more serious tracks as well which are also amazing. They are killer live too, so much energy.
I can’t stop smiling as I watch this music video - it’s just so gloriously silly, but beautifully made! As I’m sure you know, the cheesiness (including Nico’s apparently-earnest dancing at the beginning) is totally intentional. Enjoyable reaction, too!
Nico actually says that he can't dance but will somehow manage to do it in the making of so your comment about his missing dance rhythm might be kinda accurate
I love watching a truly first time reaction to this video, when the watcher gets stuck between the genres. Can't tell what the hell you are seeing the first time, lots of fun in my book. I went through the same set of reactions.
TEKKNO is actually the name of Electric Callboys current Album! The song was supposed to be on the album but the Record Label refused. But when the Album got a huge success, the Record Label allowed ot to be a Single with a MV!
Wait, really? Is this your first encounter with Electric Callboy? Welcome to the rabbit hole. Subscribed, just in case you are considering some more reactions to their songs. I would recommend to start with Hypa Hypa and go from there.
I hadn't heard of Electric Callboy until Käärijä, the Finnish entry in the Eurovision Song Contest, was compared to the Electric Callboy song "We Got the Moves" They are not alike but EC intrigued me. So I have been enjoying their musicianship and seeing a style I had not expected to emerge from this band. The tall guy who growls is their synthesizer, keyboard player and programmer though you never see him playing in videos or live. The interesting thing is the video makers are the rhythm guitarist and his brother and I think they make very quirky videos to a high standard. You are not alone in thinking the choreography wasn't where it should be. But when a reactor comes from a metal background they go "neat choreography" I think it is interesting to see dancing portrayed as the sort of thing I or you could easily do. That reassures me. BTW I missed the Cascada version as I was heavily into American minimalism at the time I might be weird but after seeing the video (which is very early 2000s with the distruptive girl motive) I prefer this version - it is certainly faster. I think they do good comedy metal / dance fusions and if you want a classic recent song "Tekkno Train" is hilarious and catchy as hell. and you won't say "cho cho cho" again in the same way.
Kevin is playing his penis-piano at their concerts, at the intermezzos. Search for EC and When you say nothing (has to be in-officila videos....). Great stuff, Frozen sounds so very good, when thousands of metal-heads are sining along....
@@lenepriesel1167 I found it but not official releases though. My experience is limited to seeing music videos and lives on RU-vid Thanks for the information.
Kevin is playing the keyboards in the videos for VIP and Fckboi. And... well kind of... in the beginning of Castrop X Spandau... if that thing is considered a keyboard 😁
If you ckeck out the msking of this video, you will get confirmation that Nico does not consider himself a great dancer, that it is part of the fun snd that they did this cover because he likes to sing it in the shower. What better reason! Enjoy.
