My friends and I made it through the 90s raving and never tested a substance once, the only medical emergency I ever had was on a night I was totally sober due to overheating. It's a different world now. You MUST do everything you can to be confident in what you are ingesting, and even then be prepared for surprises. This group is very lucky that they happened to encounter a group of level-headed people who had the ability and mindset to act immediately. I'm sorry the festival ended on such a note for you, but kudos to each of you for being kind, responsible people who chose to help ❤
I love that you took the time to add that into the end of your video! It makes me so happy that you care and you’re trying to spread awareness on that topic ❤️
Love you ade. You are right about your friends being there during that time and the platform you have available to spread this message. You’re a great person and hope you’re proud of your friends and yourself
I enjoy your vlogs. However, the last 15 mins of this one are the most important. Test your stuff. MDMA is not a dangerous drug. There is a lot of misinformation out there. What is important is to know what you're taking. As a person who's 42 and still enjoys electronic music (I go to festivals sober now, I'm too old haha. Joking aside) I have taken MDMA here and there and I can tell you that the pills these days are stronger than they were when I was 20ish years old. Like a night and day difference. A test kit WILL save your life. No matter what your drug of choice is. Unfortunately in America, we cannot have testing sites at festivals/events. This is a huge disservice to people. This has worked in Europe extremely well. Amnesty booths are fine, but they do not save lives in the same way that on-site testing would. We have a few options: Test kits (they are not expensive) and never buy anything from someone at a festival that you do not know. I would also suggest if you have never tried a particular drug, you should do it in a "safe space" with people you trust. Don't do it at a festival for the first time. Lastly, our government (for once) is being 100% honest when they say 2 "grains" of fentanyl can kill you. It's a synthetic opiate that has been around for a long time. When administered by a doctor/nurse it can do wonders to help people. Street Fentanyl is not the same. I know I'm rambling on here. I apologize. Never feel pressured to do something you do not want to do. Festivals are all about music, culture, and accepting EVERYONE. You do not need to do drugs if you do not want to. PLUR
Thanks for sharing you're experience🙏🏽 Very amazing and Intense. Proud of you guys for regrouping and enjoying the end! Also Congrats on 10k subrcibers btw Fu&*ing killing it. We remember watching your old Forrest Vlogs so crazy to see you grow! With Love Rage Sage & Repeat❤
I saw Emma’s video on what happened at tripolee, the whole weekend people were saying there was a big fent problem. My efo weekend i didnt experience anything with med emergencies. But I have witnessed them before at other festivals. For those reading this comment, I want to help in these situations however Im not certified in anything medical. I help where I can (clearing and giving room etc) but is there civilian training/certifications for situations like this? Training that goes farther than just cpr? Because these things are real and if it’s one of my friends or just a stranger next to me I want to know what to do. 🚨 Also please learn how to read tests, Specifically for colored mdma. Molly can be dyed purple to seem like it tests positive for mdma. 🚨
thank you for this! from what I've read you can also get trained on administering narcan and a lot of people are carrying narcan at events just in case.
aww omg we were so close to each other for soooo many sets and i never saw you but its so cute that the one time I saw you while I was walking through the forest was caught on cam 😭 ily
Omg! Me and my group are in this video!!! At the Marc E Basey set w the two blow up couches on the ground to the left!!! Can’t believe you were right there and I didn’t know!
