ELO IS LIFE AND JEFF LYNNE IS A MUSICAL GENIUS!!! Jeff writes, arranges and produces all of their songs and albums... he's amazing!!! I will suggest "Telephone Line" as well.
ONLY ELO can sing a song about the weather and it becomes a worldwide hit MISTER BLUE SKY is one of my favorites (even though it is hard to choose) The live version at Wembly is the one that will have you humming this song all day. Play it first thing in the morning to set the tone for the rest of your day.
the dude singing is a genius. All the sounds that this group puts in to every song is crazy. Small stuff but all wrapped together give it a flavour. Like you said that little piano riff was tough. Just a little 3 second sound and bang it makes the tune.
Jeff Lynne is truly a musical genius. And his live videos and performances sound just as good as a studio recording. "Livin Thing", "Strange Magic", "Telephone Line", "Turn To Stone", "Don't Turn Me Down", Last Train To London" and "Mr. Blue Sky" are all amazing and should be at the top of your list
Great reaction. Jeff Lynne is a maestro genius. So many amazing ELO tunes. Strange Magic, Around The World, Shine A Little Love, Telephone Line, etc... Ya can't go wrong!
“Done Bring Me Down”, “Sweet Talkin Woman” and “Telephone Line”... these are musts! Please react or at least listen to them, you won’t be disappointed!!!
I was born in74 so I was a toddler when this song came out, however, it played on the radio thru my childhood And was in one of the Austin powers movies lol. The words are great, but the musical arrangement is seriously amazing! All the instruments building up , I get life!
Jeff Lynne's voice is simply cause for celebration. ELO is a force to be reckoned with. Lynne wrote ALL the songs they sang .....He is a genius...He was in The Travelling Wilburys w/ Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, George Harrison, and Roy Orbison...If you have not you should check that little band too...lol
Yeah Kingpin--love that movie! I started listening to ELO again because of "Showdown." Love your honest reactions and you leaning back when you "get" it.
Jeff Lynne is brilliant. New subscriber so I definitely have to check out your reaction to Showdown. That's my favorite ELO tune. Great react to a great band.
ELO brings it Bro👊 You spot on, "The Title says a lot!" Damn ass "Evil Women" 🔥🔥🔥 Nah it can be a man or a woman! AWESOME Lyrics, but the Bass, Keys, Guitar, etc. Is BAD ASS 🎸🎸🎸 Keep it going Bro, REALLY enjoy your REACTIONS 👊💯
Check out Foreigner from the mid 70's to early 80s they have so many great tunes. "Cold as Ice", "Hot Blooded", "Juke Box Hero", "Waiting for a Girl Like You" are a few of my favs.

just found your channel. i like the way you hear music. this is relatively new. unfortunately she died of cancer a few yrs back when she was picking up steam. her horn section played on uptown funk
You want to hear the blues ? A couple of summers ago I busked near where he was playing in Toronto and although being a fan since 1974 couldn't afford to go.
I’m so glad that these great bands are still relevant. As I get older I’ve noticed a lot of music in whatever form in modern times seem to lose the quality or genuine, all around feel of a good band. Everything appears to me to be overproduced. A lot of these bands such as Led Zeppelin Pink Floyd or in this case Electric Light Orchestra, they worked hard for it, maybe it’s chance, luck or just hard work and love for there craft. I worry about music like this being lost forever. Is a good way to spend a Sunday hanging with You listening to good music.
Hey man, I've been watching all your videos over the past couple days, subscribed right away. I really think you'd enjoy 'Joe Walsh - Life's Been Good". It goes from country vibes, to classic rock vibes, to psychedelic to reggae and back again. I think you'll really enjoy it. It used some unique sounds and is really just an all around representation of how much he must have appreciated all music.
he did a lot of work with gerorge harrison of the bealtes as a producer for him. he also worked with and performed with harrison on a band called, the traveling wilburys.
Thete is a "rougher" cut of this record that ELO first presented to the record company with an extra verse on the end, but they were asked to polish it up a bit. It's well worth a listen.
I got to see them live in 79' they blew me away. Cause they had all white instruments and i thought this was strange never seen this be for until the lights went down and they started to jam. Then they played telephone line found out why the instruments were white cause they had green lasers bouncing off the instruments and bounced all over the stadium. Of coarse being high took it to another level. When they played Don't let down & Evil woman the lasers were more intensed. Which made it a great concert and they only group that i saw use lasers. cause i've seen rock, R&B, Funk & alot of hip hop concerts E.L.O. were the only 1.
Need to do "America Women" after this. Either the Lenny Kravitz cover, or preferably the original by The Guess Who. - not a patch on this ELO song but 5 years earlier. ✌
Abracadabra I loved your reaction. This is one of my husbands favorite bands. They’re just great and this song is wonderful. You probably want to listen to(telephone line) it’s a great song. Thank you for sharing with us.❤️😀👍✌️🌼Love and peace
Youre welcome and thank for taking the time to check my reactions , because i appreciate it sincerely, and ELO , i love their sound , and i will check that out
Abracadabra 303 Love your channel. Love that you actually hear the music. I have watched your past reactions for about three hours today. Put A like on everyone. I Thank you so much for sharing with us.❤️😃✌️🌼Love and peace
I'm a white dude and with all the racial tension in the country today, people could really come together over good music. Because if you can get down with this I guarantee we could hang out bro!!!!!!
The Beatles are my first but this was the first band I got onto at their beginnings as a kid,my own kinda thing. Telephone Line,Strange Magic and Can't Get it out of my Head are my faves.
ELO is awesome. So many great songs from back in my day. Nightwish is a band I really, really think you will find amazing. Symphonic metal, with an unbelievable singer (6'1" goddess!). Not too heavy, great beat. Orchestra elements in many pieces. Just awesome! Nightwish - Ghost Love Score (live in Wachen 2013) is an absolutely epic journey Nightwish - Storytime (same Wachen concert) is a very catchy rocker I would suggest those two to start, but since they have been around since the mid 90s they have TONS more great choices!
It's a great tune! Love your reaction to it. Here comes a suggestion of which I am sure you will love since you are very impressed by Led Zepplin too. Check out "Child In Time" by Deep Purple. Peace, love & respect from Germany! 🍻
@@abracadabra3033 You stayed in Mannheim... I have a friend there. I am born and live in Berlin. I stayed about 4 years in rhe USA (NYC & Miami) between 1997 and 2001.
After watching your reactions to this and Showdown, I can see that you are fast becoming a fan of ELO which is no surprise to any ELO fan. You may want to if given the opportunity find the ELO album Eldorado which was a concept album of sorts and give it a listen. You will not be disappointed.
Abracadabra 303 That’s a bummer, it’s hot there huh lol I’m from Texas trying to get back there one day . Maybe one day I’ll make my way back home and then to Georgia too meet you, very happy I found your tube channel. You are inspiring !
