Very simple. Infrared panel heaters do not dry the air which leads to dehydration. As someone who works at home many hours on the computer, you don't want a heater that dries the air as you start getting headaches and congnitive function decreases. I've tried a humidifier and it does help a bit but not great. I bought an infrared heater and notice the difference. Houses and flats are not made for comfort but to make money, had to spend money on purifiers, humidifiers, heaters as was getting sick dry mouth, irritated throat etc.

Hi are oil filled radiators the most efficient currently? Also are they the best in terms of heating ?
@ElectricRadiatorsDirect
@ElectricRadiatorsDirect 9 месяцев назад
Hi there! Like all electric radiators, oil-filled radiators are 100% efficient at point of use, however there are a number of benefits to choosing an oil-filled solution. We can better gauge which is ‘best’ when considering the heating needs and space you want to heat. Oil-filled radiators provide a consistent, even spread of warmth over an extended period. Their heat-retentive fluid continues to emit warmth even after the radiator has stopped drawing power, which means you still feel the benefits without wasting energy. It also makes them suitable for larger spaces or all-day heating. On the other hand, ceramic electric radiators tend to offer a higher heat output and can deliver more intense warmth, making them a good choice for rooms with high ceilings or areas that need to be heated quickly. So, equally as efficient - just suited for different applications. We hope this has helped! THINKING ABOUT PANEL HEATER FOR MY SHED I AM CONVERTING TO A WORKOUT ROOM, ARE THEY TOUGH? LOOKS LIKE THEY COULD BE MADE OF GLASS?
@ElectricRadiatorsDirect
@ElectricRadiatorsDirect 10 месяцев назад
Hi there! Thank you for your question. It's true that you can get glass panel heaters but not all of them use glass. The Ecostrad iQ Plus, for example (the panel heater seen in the video) has an all-aluminium body which makes it exceptionally lightweight and durable. It can be installed on walls or on feet for a more portable fitting, which might be ideal for your shed/workout room. Thanks!

My power source is at ceiling height. Are there any radiators (not panal heaters) that can be installed upside down (so the element is at the top of the rad)

I will stick with my gas fire as it still works in a power outage, Its not nice sitting at home with no heating in the winter.

What happens if there is a power outage ???

If there's a power outage your radiators won't work (unless you have sufficient solar charged batteries) nor would a gas boiler.

Are elec radiators superior to storage heaters?
@ElectricRadiatorsDirect
@ElectricRadiatorsDirect 5 месяцев назад
Hi there, Thanks for reaching out. Electric radiators are considered superior, and many of our customers have replaced their storage heaters with them. While they do benefit from cheaper nighttime tariffs, storage heaters are not as efficient because they end up losing warmth early in the evening. Electric radiators, on the other hand, are better at retaining heat throughout the day and offer a more intuitive level of control. Precision thermostats, 24/7 programming and energy-saving features all come as standard. Plus, with DIY-friendly installation and modern, space-saving designs, they’re the undisputed favourite for modern households. For any further information, feel free to reach out and give us a call on 0330 300 4444 or check out our website www.electricradiatorsdirect.co.uk/ Thanks The ERD Team

@@ElectricRadiatorsDirect stupid question but if you replace storage heaters with electric - does that mean you need to alter your boiler in any way? How easy it to switch to electric?

why ir pannel salers say that ir panel heat walls, closets, stuff, and radiators don't and you as radiator salers says all those things and ir pannel don't?, I have 2KW radiator is a boost heating but when you turn of its cold in ~40min, and have 1.2 KW ir pannel and it's same storry, at same size of room (differet part of house but all the same one window one outside wall), and consumtion of ellectricety is 12KW on 2 days for radiator and 10.97KW for ir pannel... Don't know maybe tecnology have foward so much that electric radiators and ir pannel use the same heat?, all i fugure out is that ir panel which is less power is turn on longer, and if i am in room with radiator or room with ir panel i feel ir panel faster when its turn on and turn off :) but i think i will stick with electric radiator 1kw of differents or around 15kw difference or 2.5€ per month, its still cheaper for buy like 50~65% like if you buy ir pannel (i look for smart electric radiator XIAOMI brand) but if i stuck old scool up to 40€ i can get good radiator and buy one electric termostat or electric timmer and can sawe up to 85% to ir pannels. (and i mount one pc fan close to radiator to boodst air flow if i need it) :P best regards

Radiator is only good if you are sitting still infront of it. It's much cheaper to run a pannel heater (to heat the air of the whole room) if you are using it for long hours
