Have to Love Tesla and the Van de Graaff....what is really cool is when you take a bunch of people and get them in a circle with a conductor on the other end having everyone hold hands and have someone touch it the whole circle feels it...I love physics

The fire burns the gasoline off to minimal amounts until it is only the material that is burning that was dipped in the gasoline. Gasoline in fact burns off pretty quickly in the same way oxygen dries it out. =)

It is true, it depends on the hair, humidity in the air, and how well the charge is conducted away from her. She probably uses conditioner, which would reduce the hairs ability to stand on end, also, they were constantly discharging her through static pokes. If they left it long enough and she messed with her hair, it would stand out more as the charge builds up.

it depends. if the ground was conductive @50KV, than electrons would flow, a current, and can be dangerous (deadly in extreme cases) and it would hurt. but the stool cant crank out too many amps...

It would happen nothing if the electric current is low. When she steps on the ground she acts like a wire, transporting electrons to the ground, but what really matters is the electric current, that means: the number of electrons passing thru her body. The voltage does not really matters in this case. The electric current is measured in àmperes(i). And the maximum current supported by a human is near 0,075 ampères.

@rehnai nothing, the electricity would just flow away through the ground instead of building up on her body and because it's such a low amps, there is no danger of letting it flow through your body it's only dangerous at higher amps.

Well it didnt touch the inside of his mouth. what he did was he put it halfway in and closed his mouth stopping all the air flow to the flame putting it out :D Also the gasoline would have vanished by that point

Cuz Volts doesnt kill ppl or other alive chars. Amperage that what kills all alive =D , 50mA and up will kill you, depends if you are wet or dry, if you are wet, 33-35mA is enough!

Um I think she'll get electrocuted, because the ground will complete the circuit. that is why birds don't get fried on electric cables - they don't touch the ground.
