We check out two brand new luxury EVs from Audi and Mercedes-Benz - the e-Tron and the EQC.
Both are fully electric, but will these SUVs from two of the oldest carmakers in the world be able to deliver in the all-electric car game to compete against brands like Tesla and Nissan, who have been making modern EVs for over a decade.
The Mercedes-Benz EQC price starts from £65,720 with the entry level Sport model, whilst the e-tron offers a much wider range with both 50 and 55 models and a Sportback version to choose from. Prices for the less powerful 50 start at £60,650 but if you want to challenge the EQC you’ll need this 55 model which will set you back at least £70,000
Both have a total of 300kw of power from their two electric motors - 402hp to you and me - but with 765Nms of torque to the Audi’s 664 the Mercedes gets to 62 in just 5.1secs - 0.6secs faster than the Audi.
But which is better? Or would you go for a Tesla Model X or Jaguar i-Pace instead as your SUV EV of choice?
