This district is also a Mecca for all sorts of electronics, PCs and gadgets.

Worth the visit, Tim. Don't forget to take your passport with you on the day for the Tax tourist refund scheme.

I wish we had radio shops like that where i live in Michigan, USA, all our good radio shops closed up. We need a DC engineering or a HRO in Michigan.

Man. That might beat HRO. For the transceivers though, the only difference I've seen between the JA and US spec HF rigs is my 891 didn't come with 60m. I MARS modded it and manually input the memories, so probably no worries there. The 2m/70cm HTs for sure are nearly unusable. I have a JA spec FT1 and it won't go over 146 or 440, even with the mod.

I’m looking to purchase the 710, wondered how the AESS feature toggled on other speakers. I’ve got an old set of Logitech z5500 speakers collecting dust and want to put to good use. Do you turn off the internal speaker ?
