As a Proud owner of a Fully unlocked V-13 I would never put my wheel through this kind of ordeal. If I wanted to I could win that race by a landslide but you have to know when to put your ego aside and think of the safety of others.

Complete stupidity, driving thru tens of RED lights, in the middle of the streets, in front, and in between cars and pedestrians, running in 30+ km/h RIGHT in front and behind a parent with a child in a stroller?!! WTF? How stupid can you be? Hope they are all arrested for indangering pedestrians and running red lights in traffic! Complete stupidity....
You have footage of you hitting a car and leaving the scene at 3:28 and then at 3:56 you almost take out a baby stroller... As a fellow rider, I gotta say this is a terrible way to show your community of riders and possibly give life-altering ideas to other communities who watch this... Not a good look.
The police cant do anything about them leaving the scene since they have no numberplates, although the citizens could grab him and hold him down. And I dont think he hit the car because otherwise he would be dead.
As an EUC rider, got to say.. this may look thrilling but at what cost? Way too much risk to others here. If you want to race join a highway and reduce risk to pedestrians, please. You should always be looking to set an example of good respectful riding. I dismount when i see children, so we are viewed well. This is just wild disregard and troubling.
Incredibly skilled riders doing incredibly reckless things. We can admire the skill but we can't ignore the stupidity. Very hard to defend the EUC community from public hatred when this is the first exhibit for the prosecution.
I hate to say this but there is going to be legislation put forth against euc use in the city. The public transportation department is going to crack down. Euc transportation is causing a risk to drivers and pedestrians by speeding through red lights and narrowly missing hitting pedestrians. A total disregard to traffic laws are going to have a negative effect on the euc community. If we want to continue to be able to travel with eucs we need to abide by the traffic laws only race at closed courses.

It's unlikely that EUC will ever be targeted alone. It's a niche community and will remain so as compared to electric scooters and e-bikes which all the risk you referred to applies to them just as well, if not even more.
@@jessepatterson8897 they get their jimmies rustled pretty easily, like all large city people. This is a problem in MA with dirtbikes, cops cant really do anything so if the public wants them stopped they gotta stop them. hell all I did was sit at a stop sign and caught one under my car because he was going too fast and slid , got his bike stuck under my car and tackled by police 50 feet down the road.
more like only 2% of people in NYC ride a motorbike yet its 15% of crash fatalities, and 45% are people unlicenced. you already have a problem with it dude.

Im aware of the event that happens every year, doesnt make the riding in this video less retarded though. Why not go to FDR Drive and navigate through the traffic there? Weaving through slow cars and pedestrians doesn't make you brave; it just shows cowardice.
I got no words for this. On 1 hand, I love it, & am jealous that I cant get away doing this in my hood but I know I'll be locked up & have the book thrown at me for all sorts of tickets citing reckless something or other. On the other hand, I find it appaling that we can be so cavalier with not just our lives but others as its not difficult to 'reimagine' an entirely tragic ending. Only in NYC

Honestly, running red lights gives EUC riders a bad name, and leads to accidents and fines, and possibly more legal regulation. I am sad when I see this stuff.

I have over 2K miles riding my wheels, (16X,S22) I am concerned of the traffic laws everyone (participating in this race) obviously broke, and the horrific rude behavior to the traffic and pedestrians, so Unsafe for the pedestrians and the vehicles. Your dangerous actions are your choice, no tears of your consequences from me. Ok, I get it. A single rider racing thru traffic for whatever reason, No issue from me. I could be guilty of the same some day in the future. But 40?, 50? Racing thru the center of NY? Mid day? Vehicles drive that way and break the same laws but blend in and disappear over and over all day long. Now with all of you guys on EUC’s exhibiting that dangerous behavior, what a scene 1 EUC cutting thru traffic creates, but so many riders -and at once - and you all planned this??? People remember it….You have all shown your skill, bravo. You have shown the world. So Proud you all must be. But showing Electric Unicycle Ass to the world, affects laws that screw the other 99% of us, that leave out the ass, when we ride. I agree. We are all embassadors to the sport. This is reckless. If I were the mayor, I'd ban EUCs alreaady because people ride with complete disregard for rules and safety.

Disappointed that none of these inconsiderate and irresponsible riders didn't catch the front grill of a bus or utility truck going through an intersection. I want to further the EUC community, and this isn't how to do it. I wouldn't shed a single tear if they ended up as road pizza. You want to share the road? GREAT! FOLLOW TRAFFIC LAWS! Haven't learned anything from the bicyclists have you? They are hated by vehicle drivers because they only follow laws they feel are convenient. I hope they get creamed by a 6,000 lb. SUV going the other direction. Race, but do it responsibly.

Lol I did the nroadway bomb in 2011 with no gear just a longboard with precision trucks. And huge wheels. A cab ran it over. Picked the thing up and kept riding! Th. Seeing this but I feel it’s lost without the actual ability to push yourself to the end. 158 th st to the south street seaport. I was in the lead three until I tumbled near the end.
