E-lady seems a more "faithful" recreation of the old EHX EM, while the "newest" EM deluxe is warmer, subtle, and not so over the edge as you said. I don't understand the hate against the new deluxe XO. People should be more open to new sounds and stop being so conservative. Especially us, guitarists. Why? Well, those are the reasons why people like Gilmour and so many more were/are so admired for. For pushing the boundaries. Depends on what people want, but I like both pedals. Both have their own character, and I think that's the most important. :)

Yeah agreed. All these pedals have a place in a mix somewhere - even the sim. Still regret selling my original Elec Mistress [see Pedals We Sold vlog for the detailed horro story] but the sound of the new Deluxe is just gorgeous - love it.

finally, someone else who has my same perspective, people back in the day were excited for the next unique sound, now everyone wants what used to be a thing, they want the past, this new one sounds better imo, it's very liquidy, warmer, and a bit more subtle (if you have to much flange it sounds awful)

The EHX is shelving-off the Bass (sounds more chimey). The E Lady (which I own, use & love for: a Police show) is more full frequency. I can get, all the Andy Summers tones spot-on, with it. Nice demo. Enjoyed it. oNe LovE from NYC
