I'm sure Mike Mathews was in there firing up Eagle and arranging SMD traces on his computer lol. Props to the engineers behind this. I never thought EHX would shrink a DMM into such a small enclosure.
That was my first proper delay pedal, and it’s still on my board to this day. The reverse feature on the “One Second plus Reverse” mode is unbeatable. It’s dedicated reverse delay is excellent as well, but that controllable reverse is unlike anything else another pedal does.
I think you have made a good decisition to change the size of the pedal. Instead of having a big box, such my "Hazarai", you can get the same pedal in a small size! Well Done!
They really needed TOP mounted Jacks for better pedal board spacing issues. The enclosure box has room for TOP mounted jacks so was a very overlooked design flaw.
Yeah, but tbf only like 2 EHX pedals I can think of have top jacks - the Grand Canyon and Oceans 12 - and those are larger than the nano format. I agree that it'd be great to have them on most of their new pedals, even if the nanos had to get a smidge wider or something.
@@Merlincat007 All EHX pedals used to have top-mounted jacks in the original designs. It's odd to shrink the case size but then force a larger pedalboard width than necessary by making them sidejack only.
Please EHX, please make an updated ANALOG stereo version like this but for the Stereo Memory Man, and maybe include some of these deluxe features? Just a business idea.
Sounds great. Looks great. Nicely done EHX. True or buffered bypass? I have an original Deluxe Memory Man and while it sounds incredible when on, it's a bit of a tone-sucker when bypassed
Both When TAILS is off, the Nano DMM features true bypass; with TAILS enabled, buffered bypass is employed. By default from the factory, the TAILS switch is set to the off position.
Just get a loop for it. There are small true bypass pedals with just an effects loop for pedals like the Memory Man. Your original signal will be unaltered, as if the pedal was bypassed.
У вас такой широкий ассортимент, такие вкусные сочетания эффектов в устройствах... и вас нет на евразийском континенте, ну, кроме немного западной европы и плохих копий из юга азии... Жаль....
@@EHX Thanks for the quick reply. The reason I ask if it's Analog BBD is because you don't specify in the description. Descriptions like "...delivers EHX’s signature analog delay..." and "For over 44 years the Deluxe Memory Man has been the gold standard for analog delay and modulation" are misleading...doesn't directly mention the actual Nano pedal being these things. Seem you would want to these points in bold as a selling point. Anyways I hope I am misreading this description because I love the OG DMM and want this to not to be "too good to be true". In closing, as else aside, this pedal sounds great. Thanks EHX!
Guys are you seriously spying me? I was thinking to switch from my memory boy to the memory man this morning but it was too big for my pedalboard…and now you come out with the nano version! That’s awesome!🔥🔥🔥
This is how a demo should be done!!! I'm tired of all of those other horrible, ego-filled guitarists that can't play or just don't sound musical at all. All demos should be like this. This guy sounds like he actually enjoys paying guitar, you can hear it in the way that he plays.
especially with delays and reverbs, a lot of the demo guitarists just (over)play as they would anyway with no regard that they're running through fx. it's more just about them trying to impress the audience than actually demoing the effect.
This is awesome! I didn’t need another pedal…. But now I do 😜 You completely sold me with the two U2 riffs. Loving the small size. I already have too many pedals on my boards, so shrinking down a big pedal to a small form is a big win
Deluxe Memory Boy is analog (says it right on the pedal) and has tap tempo. I’m trying to figure out the difference, other than size, between that pedal and this one. Superior circuitry maybe?
It overloading too much in the FXloop circle of the amp,how could it get that clean delay sound with no volume variation(turn down the level knob for clean delay sound will cause volume reduction)?Should I put a attenuator front or a booster after for on/off volume balance?I really hope that overload controllable.
Some great .small sizes , are better .but, please,.....give me more ... ..( like ***** , I like to collect a sets , in effects pedals, soon.don't let me down
how did you achieve the ambient delay sounds in the video? i raise my feedback setting and still cant quite duplicate the sound you get here, even with the “trails” switch turned on
