You really do a great job with the Hendrix stuff MB... back when I was gigging, there were a lot of guys doing things like that... Clapton, SRV, JH, etc... but you really give credibility and have real soul. Well done.

MIKEL, Look into Hendrix using the EP2 PREAMP for his CLEAN tones , not a EP3 because the EP3 didn't come out until after Hendrix died in 1970. so he mostly tracked using an EP2 echoplex tube preamp to get those compressed clean twangy tones. You can really hear those EP2 echplex tube preamp clean twangy tones on axis bold as love album but also on the first album Jimi hendrix experience really listen to those clean tones that are the EP2 echplex tube preamp + SoundCity amplifier which has a different midrange tone stack which he only uses for his clean studio tones. He didn't use the marshall for his clean tones because the marshall tone stack sounded to dark and didn't have any twang or midrange BUMP. The Sound City has that twang and Midrange BUMP that is why you will see the SoundCity amplifiers in his late 67-68 live rigs. Do a video lesson about this because Mike Battle designed the EP2 tube preamp and EP3 solid stage preamp which are two different animals. Most people overlook this because they think Hendrix used an EP3 echoplex but he Died in 1970 when the EP3 was just coming out so he would track most of his audio in the studio using the EP2 preamp.
Mikel, Hendrix live miami pop festival listen to the album really close because that is NOT a fuzz face its a MANNY's Fuzz with 3 knobs had a TONE knob. There are pictures of Hendrix at the miami pop festival using the MANNY's fuzz pedal 3 knob version which he is using the TONE knob often. You should get a MANNY's fuzz Clone pedal to make a video lesson about this. This Manny fuzz pedal is more raspy and edgy but the TONE knob helps.
Thanks Wayne 👍 I’ve seen pix of that gig and pedal and I’ve incorporated a part in my video on Jimi’s untold Fuzz legacy. Manny’s was a copy of the Foxey Lady pedal by Guild in corporation with Mosrite and that actually was the “mother” of EHXs Triangle Big Muff. At least that’s what my research brought to light ✌️🙏✌️☮️
@@MikelBluni I have looked at the schematics of the Manny's Fuzz and Orpheum Fuzz and GUILD Foxey Lady Version#2 are all "modified" mosrites which are "in between" a hybrid of a mosrite/fuzz face they have altered and changed the resistor values. BASIC AUDIO has made both the foxey lady and the Orpheum fuzz, I'm not sure what other guitar pedal companies have made these to the exact designs because they aren't a copy of a mosrite. I have 3 mosrites and they are completely different than a GUILD Foxey lady Version#2 with the 3 knobs.
@@MikelBluni Listen to the ENDING guitar solo of FIRE live miami pop festival it sounds that Hendrix is using the Manny's Fuzz TONE rolled down to get a Cream Woman Tone. I think also Hendrix used his Vox wah pedal BEFORE the manny's fuzz which was different. His Fuzz Face didn't have the Roger Mayer Buffers yet until 1969 to be able to put the wah pedal BEFORE his fuzz face pedal. The Manny Fuzz was able to have the Wah BEFORE without using a buffer pedal. Mostly Hendrix is using the Manny Fuzz TONE rolled down to get that CREAM Woman tone for his guitar leads at Miami Pop Festival. Try to make a video lesson about Hendrix Woman Tone by using the tone rolled down
That's what i think too, plus I'm a huge EHX fan anyway. Question: in this clip is the fuzz turned down and the octave up? Do you prefer the 9v or the 18v?
@@Robert.Averkios.Antonsen My setting is: Octave dimed; Volume 1 o‘ clock; Boost 11 o‘ clock; 24v setting. I turn my regular Fuzz off when kickin‘ in the Octavix. ✌️🔥☮️🎸
