Anyone who plays Thin Lizzy in a product demo gets my vote.

This man has sold more pedals than any other man in history. More than Hendrix. More than Gilmour. More than any one! And, probably more than everyone else combined. Andy rocks!

I swear Andy is an unsung guitar hero. He can play amazingly and should do covers as a career. Can easily nail the tones. Damn he's awesome.

Does anyone else watch his demos just because they enjoy his musicianship?

This guy's demos always sell me on gear I'm interested in. I'll always watch like 10 bad demos and talk myself out of buying something then after watching his demo I talk myself back into it and usually end up happy. Maybe due to better amp EQ or recording setup but whatever it is it works. Everything just seems less muddy and clearer on the ProGuitarShopDemos. They have also made me want a Telecaster really bad, so thanks for that. At least I can live inside the cardboard box my amp came in when I cant pay rent due to having spent all my money on gear.

I just got this pedal, its the best overdrive I've ever played in my life. It keeps your signal strong and has a very musical tone.

I love this pedal. It has a great range of sounds and it's easy to dial in exactly what I want. I use it all the time.

I have this pedal and love it. This is by far the best sounding demo of the Soul Food pedal and I have seem them all.

That's the G&L Fender line and these are great instruments Leo Fender designed before he past and left the legacy with his wife. This sounds like a great pedal I really like the Thin Lizzy sound. one of my favorite bands of all time next to Bad Company

Love my Soul Food. Klon-schmon. Affordable and so tasty. My SG loves it, my Gretsch Country Gentleman loves it, my Danelectro U2 loves it. Can't lose with a Soul Food.

this is the best demo of this amazing pedal i got mine today a live in Costa Rica and it is really great sounding pedal and if you running into a large pedalboard it has the plus of a great buffer.....and of course Andy´s demos are always the best

I saw this pedal & came here to see what Andy would make of it. I compared it to other pedals demoed on RU-vid, many also by Andy on this channel. After a lot of time, a lot of thought, & a great deal of comparison to similar pedals, I got one. Only been a month but it's awesome, easily one of favs. I'm considering getting another for crunchy vintage drive, since I'm using this one as both that & clean boost. It's a great lil pedal & fits in with my EHX Nano Big Muff & my MXR Custom Badass '78 Distortion as a boost or light crunchy drive sound. An amazing lil beast of a pedal! You did a wonderful demo of it here, Andy :-)

Man the buffer in this is a game changer

I bought this model, the sound is rather good. But it broke down immediately when I connected 9 volts alkaline battery 12-2019, plus it do not even go into the case! Bravo EHX !!! I should have suspected that low price hid something! I would not buy any more this brand in this price range. It is a chame !

I pick mine up at the music store tomorrow, along with a Rat 2. Soul Food gives the Rat what it's missing in my opinion, they are a match made in heaven. But that pedal sounds pretty damn good all by itself. Might not need the Rat (just want it), just my Randall head and this, Ill have to experiment. Or my Blackstar combo and this.

I think the magic in Klon clones is in the output and tone knob in low gain settings which enhances your tone assuming you didn't need a buffer in the first place. I did a demo on my channel with a TS style pedal and together they balance out what the other doesn't focus on. These are a great always on pedal but don't go selling your other ODs to get this as this one is about subtleties and you will miss your old drives.

I'm used to the warmth of a MojoMojo for OD on a wide range of music, but I was curious about the Soul Food after hearing great things about it, so I bought one. It's great for ballsy chords and as a lead boost, but I find it too midrangey and abrasive for general rhythm work. I'll stick with the MojoMojo as my main OD pedal for that reason. Thanks for all your great reviews Andy, and it's always a pleasure listening to your guitar playing.

That does sound amazing but how many OD's do I need? Still if I see one at the local shop I will have to pick one up.

If you are thinking about getting this pedal get it, it's great and stacks well with other pedals. I've had the J. Rockett Archer as well and the Soul Food is the better sounding pedal to my ears for quite a bit less money.

Got a Bass Soul Drive modded with germanium diodes by Alchemy Audio. Man, it's my "always on" pedal for playing my Schecter P-bass Plus through!

Great pedal! Sounds awesome in front of my Orange th30, it gives just the right push to take me to a very sweet tone. Definately one of my favourite pedals, and I've tried a few... Also (as usual) great demo!!! Andy truly rocks!!!

Ok so I am late to the game here. I have been searching pedals literally for months. I have seen several different Soul Food demos, and this one sold me in the first second. Thanks for choosing such a great tune for your demo!

I have this, as well as a 99% accurate Pedalmonsters Klon clone. I A/B:ed them, and the Pedalmonsters won out. They are pretty similar, but the Pedalmonsters has more oomph, and a lot more volume. Still, the Soul Food is still better than a lot of overdrive/boost pedals out there, and for the price you can't beat it!

This is a great blues OD, but I prefer the EHX OD Glove. The OD Glove makes the clean channel on my 1994 SS MIM Princeton 65 sound like a Marshall Plexi. It's like the Soul Food on steroids. The OD Glove also gives you the choice between a 9v and 18v setting by utilizing an internal switch. It can do what the Soul Food does but gives you a lot more gain.

People seem to not like the flavor that this pedal kicks-out... But I'd rather have something that goes crazy that I can back off of, than something flavorless. I imagine that my Texas Special neck pickup would benefit from the mid-bump that seems to have a lot of people up in arms. I'm not sure. Definitely going to demo first - so thanks for the negatron feedslime. Due diligence, in order.
