Doctor Strange's explanation for how the villains and the other Spider-Men entered the MCU mostly makes sense, except for when it doesn't. What do you think? #shorts
@@kwabenaamanfoh6675 I think he’s talking about when electro absorbed the electricity in the oscorp building cause I remember them having a file on peters parents for the spider experiment, still doesn’t explain how he got the knowledge from absorbing electricity cause electro just absorbs electricity not access the internet like ultron
Electro didn't actually knew who is peter parker but he heard gwen saying peter to spiderman. just watch the final battle of tasm 2 in which gwen shouts peter and at the same exact moment electro opened his eyes like he heard something important.✨
@@HTMN161 it's just a Theory buddy maybe it can be true or fake IDK that's the only scene where you can think that he knew Spider-Man's real name is Peter.
@@TirroticLIVE no, he got teleported RIGHT when he accessed the Hivemind, so he prolly saw a glimpse of Peter Parker being spiderman for a short while but enough for him to be considered as one that knows who Spiderman's real identity
That probably because he heard Gwen saying peter in the final battle. This is also explain why he said to Andrew's spider-Man that he hoped he would be black. He knew Peter Parker is Spider-Man, but he never actually saw his face
He was knock out so I doubt he would of heard of especially since she said a little more quietly than her yelling before. I think it’s just better to say it’s a plot hole.
@Manvëru the spell brought people who know the person under the mask is peter and electro knows it. he doesn't know the face but he know who is in it. like when listening to a radio we know the speaker through his voice but may not have seen him. it still counts as knowing him.. edit: and about the second name. there is also a way harry told him about his problems before they fought together. so he know about peter parker but after hearing gwen he understands that peter parker was spiderman all along
@Manvëru that wasn’t part of the spell. only people who knew peter parker got brought through, they didn’t need to see his face. it wouldn’t make sense if they needed to know what he looked like for it to count because the Peter whose universe they got pulled into looks nothing like their own Peter Parkers.
@@mayo4507 your headcanon is irrelevant, and no that's not even how it works. Even after accessing the mulitiversal hivemind, which holds knowledge from countless different universe and symbiotes, venom only slightly recognized spider-man. You don't get immediate access to hyper specific information by default
@@mayo4507They could just make up an excuse like he doesn't always have access to the hivemind or that there's a reason that only some are connected or some other bull
The Venom bit isn't a hole. It's clearly stated that the symbiotes have a hive mind spanning a vast distance and across the multiverse. Now, technically this means the Tobey Spidey 3 Venom, but hypothetically it also spans the comics and cartoons, in which case we then have a *lot* more to work with. Either way it's pretty self explanatory.
In the comics they explain this, basically they draw no distinction between just splitting and having an offspring. Sometimes you get an offspring, like Carnage, and sometimes it's just another Venom, I think it's mostly plot device, but Venom can in fact split, and then unsplit, as an ability, which is definitely what is employed here. They tend to try to make the offspring noticably different so that it's obvious when it's an offspring, even taking the differences to extremes sometimes, like how Carnage is bonded to Cletus's blood, not his body like Venom. Symbiotes are an odd bunch for sure.
Electro also said how he expected (andrew garfield) spiderman to be black, so he clearly never knew who was truly behind the mask. Altho maybe he just generally knew that spiderman was peter parker but he never had the chance to put a face to the name
@@Johnnysmithy24 she does when she is stuck in the car she screams peter then electro wakes up And why do you act like missinformation in a movie is the worse thing in the world

Adding on to that Max was obsessed with Spider-Man so he would know Peter=Peter Parker Spider-Mans main photographer and that make sense that he wouldn't know what Peter looks like
@@arielb_ve Yeah U R right but some people are just arguing and saying that electro knew him by reading his mind dude... Electro's power doesn't contains telekinesis or any other mind reading abilities.
You should do an short on how by becoming a thief, Scott saved the universe. What I mean is if he never became a thief then Hank Pym wouldn’t have noticed him and Scott would never have become Ant-Man. He also served a big role in helping Captain America in Civil War and he was the reason the time heist even became a thing to happen.
Depends on your definition of ‘save’. He saved half the Universe from being blipped, but the Universe itself generally seems fine after Thanos and would have probably just gone back to where it was after a few generations passed. One could argue he put it more at risk cause past Thanos saw the future and decided he now wanted to reduce the Universe to atoms.
He said when he was in the grid he was absorbing vast amounts of data when that massive electric charge was flowing thru him. He could've found out that spider man is Peter Parker but didn't know what he looked like.
Venom one is explained exactly like that, so not to worry. I’m still wondering about Electro though! I assume this electro is from a slightly alternate TASM universe, where he hears Peter Parker’s name aimed towards Spider-Man (like when Gwen yells it) but Electro never saw what Parker looked like
Electro learned from the end of ASM he even says it at the end when he’s downloading everything. He downloaded something that had Peter Parker Spider-Man on it. And yes ur venom theory is correct with his line in Let there be carnage answering this
Electro said he was absorbing energy when he was pure energy in his universe. Its possible hengained the knowledge through either old texts between Peter and Gwen, or From the Mystery Man in the Trench coat in that world too. No way he isn't sharing that info or talking to guys like the Harry Osborn of his world. Venom I think Its just the Hive mind thing.
I'm actually more on the side of Dr. Strange effed up the spell and he was just making a guess with what he knew at the time, it was a spell that went out of his control and didn't know what actually happened. I think it's reasonable to assume he was just a bit wrong overall.
@@blaze_playz2349 that spell might have some unknown effects just like when Toomes from the MCU where the spell is casted that should be transporting people who knew Spiderman from other universe to MCU but some people especially Toomes in the universe where the spell is casted was transported in another universe that was shown in the post credits scene of Morbius that Spiderman also exist there and then after Dr.Strange casted the final spell Toomes never came back to his true universe the MCU. So that means that spell might have some errors, that even those who don't know Peter Parker is Spiderman was transported to MCU. So let's just say that spell isn't perfect yet that has some unknown errors and effects.
In the Venom 2 post-credit scene, Venom says that all the symbiotes are connected through a hivemind, that maybe the Topher Grace Venom is connected to, so the info that Peter Parker is Spider-Man is already in the hivemind
It doesn't matter. He could have found out in a lot of ways, but this isn't one. Saying 'Peter' doesn't automatically make you think about a guy named Peter Parker.
Here's my guess... Electro has the ability to see the bioelectricity, just as well as the electricity in the surrounding milieu. It's possible that if he's seen Spiderman and then he sees Peter Parker, he knows it's the same person. But I will admit, this is a hard one, because even in the movie when Peter (Andrew) finally takes his mask off, he comments on his youth.
Or Electro overheard the vast multitude of TV/radio channels reveal Peter’s identity as Spider-Man, since he would been exposed to radio waves via the power lines..
@@Red-pv7kx This would be true once he arrived to the new universe, but the one he came from, no one knew - so it wouldn't have been aired publicly like that. Remember, the spell only brought those who knew. So they would have had to known, first, in their respective universe. Nothing else seems to stand out quite better than a bio electric reading. This is a strange plot hole they've dug.
@@iamthisiam There is a scene from TAS2 where Emma Stone’s Gwen yells ‘Peter’ and Max looks caught off guard by the fact that she revealed his secret identity. That was only for a split second and is up to interpretation, but that’s what I heard from other people.
@@Red-pv7kx I saw that someone mentioned that, I'ma have to go and check that out. It's odd that they never had a run in together before Electro's change - seeing that Peter did visit the job with Gwen.
Easily explained by: In tasm2, you see Gwen yell Peter! in front of electro. Now instantly, electros eyes go wide open. He knew what Spiderman's star sign was so he would know who took the pictures as the name would be on them. Simple explanation.
Your simple explanation is wrong, since she never yelled Peter. There’s no way he would hear that unless he has super hearing. People keep saying that she yelled but she literally didn’t. Mandela effect??
It's literally just a plot hole bro, you're trying to explain a plot hole lmao the explanation is that they wanted to put every spiderman movie villain in this movie and that's it.
For me it was that he’s a completely different character. In TASM2 even after becoming electro he still talks like a weirdo and is mentally unstable. All of a sudden he appears in no way hone and he’s confident and funny and totally different
If you look at the trailer at the end of the last Venom movie, Eddie and Venom are watching Tom's Spidey on TV, which means they were already in the same universe, so a portal wouldn't have sent them anywhere, since they were already in that universe. Sony messed up with that.
Are you sure you paid attention? Originally they’re in their own respective universe’s version of the hotel in Mexico. After venom tries connecting himself and Eddie to the symbiote hive mind they’re automatically teleported to the MCU (presumably because another version of venom knew who Spider-Man was) . Once they get teleported there, the news of Peter being Spider-Man pop up on the screen.
@@d_gammarayz439 I didn't see them teleported in Venom BEFORE looking at the TV. Just saw them looking at Spidey on TV. I'll have to watch that part again sometime. I am sure you could have made your point without the rude "are you sure you paid attention" part.
@@thullraven1 Yeah they teleport when laying on the bed which freaks Eddie out so he sits on the front of the bed and then the news with Spider-Man pop up, indicating they’re in the MCU now. And sorry if it sounded rude, I wasn’t trying to.
So electro thinks spider man is Peter Griffin. That’s what I got out of your point atleast XD. There are a million different peters in the world, that still doesn’t explain how he know spider man was Peter…. Parker….
That never happened. She only screams his name once in the movie and that's cuz he webbed her to a cop car. Whatever you saw, was edited. I keep reading ppl mention a Matpat video as proof. But he probably edited the cop car scene's audio overtop of the video of the fight scene and the video of Electro opening his eyes at Oscorp. RU-vidrs do shit for views all the time.
Watching this video made me think about Electro was a last minute decision thrown into the movie. That's why it feels like he's the odd ball of the group.
Gwen yelled Peter’s name out loud when he and electro were fighting in the power grid, electro then found out his name was Peter at that very moment and if you were to go back and watch the scene again you will notice yourself and yeah he did and venom shared Intelligence and knowledge throughout the dimensions/ multiverse
Gwen said his name “Peter” just after he told her the plan on how to stop electro but just before that when Spider-Man was fighting electro and electro was trying to run electricity through his webs it didn’t work bc Gwen helped him w that probably and he openly said her full name Gwen Stacy. In now way home he said he was absorbing data so he might of came across some data linking Gwen Stacy and Peter Parker together so that’s how he deduced which Peter she was mentioning when she said “Peter” just before goin into the control station.
There are two theories for electro: Theory 1 is that when he was absorbing all the electricity and information, he figured it out from the spider files Theory two is that he heard Gwen yelling “Peter”- this explains why he didn’t know what Andrew looked like in NWH. I hope this helps!
I figured it was an error on Strange's part as Electo knew Peter and died while fighting Spiderman. Something people missed about those specific villains is that they all admired and cared for Peter greatly before they became baddies. Whose to say it wasn't just their bond to Peter that led to them being there.
In amazing spider man 2 when harry rescued electro from the research fascility there I think he said that harry need Peter and electro need spider man.. I may be wrong but i think this had happened..
For Electro i believe when they were in the final battle in TASM2 i think when Gwen showed up and said Peter out loud and at that exact moment the camera goes to Electros face who opens his eyes fas and wide so maybe he heard her say his name. For Venom he says across universes and hive mind knowledege so all universes count and that would explain him
Well, he does. When Harry was talking about a good friend that betrayed him, he started to get a vague idea. Gwen then mention's Peter's name and Max has clocked it...
So 1: you completely ignored the “let there be carnage” post credit scene, 2: during the fight with electro Gwen calls Peter by his real name, and at the exact same moment electros eyes shoot wide open which means he clearly heard her say Peter
That didn't happen. Closest to that is when Spidey webs her to a cop car and she shouts Peter all mad, but instantly covers her mouth as she realized what she did. Then because of that, later she knows better than to use his name. She shouts "Now!" Or something similar when she flips the switch during the Electro fight. But she never yells his name during that fight. I can almost guarantee you that whatever matpat video yall are siting was edited. He probably just took the audio from the cop car scene, and spliced it with 2 separate video clips, one from the the fight and one from when Electro opens his eyes while he's strapped down at Oscorp.
It is suggested that not every version of the villains and Spiderman are actually from the movies we saw. The multiverse allows for tightly knit parallel universes running along side one another with only minor differences between them. Electro wasn't glowing blue like he appeared in Garfield's Spider-Man, Mcguire's Peter Parker was older and supposedly already married to MJ when his last film left that up in the air, Doc Oc Sandman, and Osborn were supposed to be from the same universe but the latter would have to already be dead for the other two to already have become a villain, meaning they came from different universes but the only real difference was their point in time and the Electro and Garfield Peter could be from a slightly different universe where he did find out his identity. As for Venom, the hive mind theory is correct as the symbiote recognized Peter on the TV despite him not being the Mcguire version, indicating that the symbiotes are able to recognize someone across the multiverse and their variants.
Eddie Brock worked at the daily bugle in his universe so what if there is a Peter Parker in his office who isn’t Spider-Man. And also for electric probly found out after harry osborn told him about Peter and how he is Spider-Man.
I believe that as Electro was becoming pure energy in AS2 he “ slipped through the cracks” between dimensions as others who knew Peter Parker was Spider-Man kept coming through and breaking dimensional barriers. As pure energy it would’ve been easy for him even without knowing who spider-man was. As for Venom the symbiote hive mind is the only explanation I can think of. And Eddie was dragged along for the ride. Would’ve been cool to see both Spider-Man 3 Venom and the newest Venom meet. 😁
Man, I was so hyped about venom beign in the movie, only for it to appear as a sequel cue. Tbh, I should've expected something like that, but Venom 2 post-credits scene made me feel like a kid back in 2007 again.
Electro was very obsessed with Spider Man in TASM2, so he probably saw Peter’s name a lot in the newspapers beside the photos. When Gwen said the name during the final battle, Electro pieced it together. He just didn’t know what he looked like. It’s kind of like an online friend - you know of their existence, but their actual appearance remains a mystery.
Venom admitted that the hive mind crosses universes due to the symbiot hive mind is SO big. It would allow Venom to remember who Peter Parker was Spiderman when he said “That guy….” You can tell that he was angry at Parker for “killing” him before and how Venom was Symbiotic with Eddie and how much he knows about Eddie (without venom looking through Eddie’s memories). He must’ve learned that no one liked Spider Man 3’s venom so he chose to get a new look 😂
Hive mind is correct. And as for electro... I think its from the adrew Garfield universe but in a branch timeline where he knew peter. For the reasoning, jaime is also not blue.
Uhh if you remember from amazing spiderman 2 I think it is but when qwen came out she yelled for Peter so that's how he new his name didn't know who he is but his name because everyone who new his NAME would have forgotten but it opened the multiveres and brought everyone who new his name
Uhhh it's explained in Venom 2 that the symbiotes maintain a multi-versal knowledge base, and Electro literally said that he became all-knowing for a moment before he was about to die.
The theory for electro is that when be connected to the grid right before being zapped into Tom holland universe he connected to the data in the city and "knew" Peter parker.
Vemon can be explained via hivemind. In the comics symbiotes work off of a hivemind passing knowledge to each other, in the vemon movie when Eddie ask when what he knows he says that it would be too much for Eddie. So when the spell breaks and the multiverses were linked the hivemind connection because Tom Hardy vemon and original spider man venom linked, thus new venom does know spiderman
In venom 2, it’s stated that the symbiote’s hive mind crosses universes. Also, there was that after-credits scene where they see Mysterious blowing Peter’s identity.
When you really get into the nitty gritty of this movie, it’s a bit of a mess and makes no sense sometimes. It’s still a fun watch, but it could’ve been a lot better. Pacing was a little fucky too
The venom thing implied that accessing the hive mind and maybe coming in contact with that info at that point would do do it. The theory for electro is before he died he gained access to a ton of information and subconsciously connected the dots
Either that, or the spell was just corrupted to the point where anyone who's fate is intertwined with Peter Parker in one sense or another was liable to cross over. In which case, It's plausible that the spell at the end didn't completly fix the tear, and is what will cause issues in 'Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness.'
Well we know that Harry told Electro about a Peter Parker and when Gwen yelled out Peter, was probably the moment he made the connection of Peter Parker is Spider-Man. If Venom hive mind can connect to other universes than that could work. Since in Spider-Man 3 with Toby, his symbiote knew that Peter is Spider-Man. Then the moment that the barrier of all universes were just fragile enough, the information was connected. Obviously, we know why they brought the original actors back because it was the biggest thing to ever happen. But just think the possibilities of different versions the characters, or maybe different line of villains. In lore wise, Maybe the spell just grabbed whatever symbiote it could find and drag it into the MCU.
Also the fact that people like MJ, Gwen Stacy, and many others of Spider-Man’s allies were not brought back. It would be cool to see some of those characters again
It would make sense that venoms whole species is like this one whole creature even if they have separate minds. That can reach each other even across multiple timelines, multiverses, etc. They'd be kinda like typhons. Pretty cool.
They’re not there because of doctor strange. They’re there because of SYLVIE. She broke the multiverse causing variants and beings to crossover from different universes. Like quicksilver, professor X, and tobey and Andrew’s Spider-Man, etc
Electro does fit this rule. He said that he was becoming pure energy after being overloaded. It's very possible that he saw Goblin Harry talk to Peter, where he revealed his identity.
The end scene to Venom 1 or 2 but I think it’s 2 is so cool of you are a super fan of marvel. It’s one of thoes like why did I just watch that and then you think about it. It’s one of my favorite meta scenes and does a great job of tying some of the marvel movies together
