The neck of our Q powerhead broke several years ago, after paying the repair bill I vowed I would do it myself if it broke again and ordered a replacement neck. Well it broke again tonight and with this very helpful video I replaced it in under an hour, with no leftover screws! Works like new. Thank you!!!

Thank you! My wife was preparing to purchase a new vacuum. I had placed the removed screws in an orderly fashion so that I was able to remember how to put it back together. Inexpensive, but complicated repair. I definitely could not have completed it without your helpful video!

I got one of these vacuums for free from a friend that moved. Less then 9 months of using it the elbow broke. I'm not sure if it was a parting gift or a sucker gift. Thanks for a great and informative video. Saved me a lot of money.

+1 Many thanks for this video! My Electrolux powerhead is labeled “QuietClean” but it appeared identical to the one in your video. It’s was a PIA several hour repair, but hopefully breathes new life into my central vacuum. Definitely saves a the expense of a new system. If there is a higher quality (read more durable) powerhead that fits the “D shaped” Electrolux hose, I’d be interested to know about it. Supplementing your video with an overhead still shot and circling the screws would help. I couldn’t see all the screws holding the air collector in place and missed the hidden one under the wires. I skipped back and just counted how many you removed and then looked til I discovered the hidden one.

Best fix is to throw it away, and get a Wessel Werk EBK 360 or a Lindhaus Stealth. However the older Beam Rugmaster plus powerheads are very high quality US made powerheads.

Hi, like an idiot I connected the cleaner head wires to the elbow, black to red instead of black to black and red to red. Vacuum came on briefly and now won’t turn on. I’m assuming a short somewhere? Or is there a reset button? Thanks!

My same Electrolux head doesn't want to lock into the hose end, any suggestions on that one? The swivel head seems ok, but the hose end just goes in and then comes out.

Ok I Have The Miele My Top Choice C3 Brilliant but the Riccar dealer is closer but Spirit Lake Has Miele dealer I will buy it from Vacuum Direct how long does miele brush last on the Miele on the 236 Powerhead i heard its headache to change

Question Why Is Riccar Immaculate not as good As The Miele C3 Brilliant Canister because the Riccar has metal brush and just change the brush strips and 236 Miele power head is hard to change and I email Riccar to see if they will still have the Immaculate but I can get the C3 Brilliant At Vacuum Direct and where I live iowa they have Riccar and miele

+Michael Loring oddly enough your statement answers your question the middle brush roller is part of the problem. Some of them ship off balance the others will get off balance in the end caps are plastic so the plastic on metal will deteriorate over time. There's also a lot of extra vibration the motor and a lot of internal components riccars are made overseas. They have addressed the brush roller issue by making a different brush roller that's slightly better. The Composites that Wessel Werk /Miele uses are more cost-effective in the long run and stay perfectly balanced throughout the life of the vacuum. So why wouldn't you want your pieces of your vacuum perfectly sculpted engineered and made in Germany?

Crazy that a Miele S2 Titan or Delphi cost the same or maybe $50 more than one of these Electrolux Oxygen canisters at Lowe's...I know because I compared them. I went with the Delphi at $499, the oxygen on sale was $449. The level of quality is from another world on the Miele and the SEB 217, although small, makes this thing look like the Chinese piece of shite it is.

Nope unfortunately unless you can find a new old stock nozzle complete somewhere or the parts in a vacuum shop basement, it's time to go vacuum shopping.

The belt seems to go all the time and it’s just a joke the roller won’t even spin and the belt just keeps slipping one it lol. The have a belt on amoooth metal no grip at all
