I learned from your mistake and went with the 637 even though it’s the end of 2022, and still no wifi! I don’t miss not having the wifi, and the washer does it all, perfectly! Thanks for the excellent review!

Love the Electrolux front load washer and dryer, however, we have had the filter in the dryer pop out twice now when drying a load of laundry. Luckily we were near and heard it so nothing got pulled in. You would think that the filter being inserted vertically would be enough to hold it in place but I really hope there is a fix for this in the future.

Good morning,great review! Do you know if I can use TruEarth laundry strips with the 627?I am guessing that I could put them in the powdered dispenser or just straight into the tub?

We just bought a washer. Wifi is just another feature that can break. Just set a timer on your phone when the wash will be complete. Simple and effective.

I bought one in 2019. There are black oily stain on seal of front loaders. I bought wash a box of affresh washing machine cleaner. it does not work. Some one told me to use white vinegar wiping off. it does not look like mold. it is dirty oil from the machine. please help and let me know how to clean

I am looking to buy electrolux but read about the fire hazard and fires in the older models dryer ...has this been resolved? I also saw reviews that it sometimes scorches clothing?

I’m having trouble with the sensor on my 317 model. A normal goes from 46 minutes to one minute before getting to the third cycle phase (light indicator). I have tried “resetting “ to factory setting by pressing “soul” and “options” simultaneously, and sometimes that works, but by the next load, it’s up to its old tricks! Help!!!

We bought an electrolux washer 7 months ago and the shocks are already bad. Now we have the same problem that we had with our previous frigidaire washer (electrolux). And on top of that the shocks for this washer are so expensive, that would cost somewhere like 140 CAD$ to replace all the shocks. On our previous washer that was 18 years old, they changed the design of the shocks 2 times. The originals were big beefy and white and they lasted a long time. The new shocks are small and black and I had to replace them every 2 years and we don't do a lot of laundry. The last set of shocks I bought was not good from the start, I couldn't fix it, and this new washer is using the same crap. When the warranty is out I don't know if we are going to keep it.

Ended up going with the 600 series like you suggested, gets delivered tomorrow. Cant wait. Give us a little time to try it out and I’ll let you know. Got a feeling I’m gonna like it a lot though. The titanium was sold out but the white was 200 cheaper so I like that better anyways. Thanks again for the great presentation

@@throwaway5897 Easy update. Home run as far as I'm concerned. Went from a real crappy old Maytag top loader to the Electrolux. Quite a jump in performance. Basically going from a Ford focus to a Ford Expedition. I didnt realize how bad the Maytag was till I got this. I use all the extra features but especially the quick steam on the dryer and the sanitize on the washer. I have nothing to compare it to as far as other brands and what they do but no complaints here. GL on your research let me know what you end up going with out of curiosity

Do any of these models off a system like LG’s “easy dispense” where you can pre load a month worth of detergent or do they just offer the pod system thing?

Great question! No, unfortunately, Electrolux does not have an automatic detergent dispenser like the ones that can be found on higher end models from LG, GE, etc. However, the top of the line Electrolux pair is about $1,000 cheaper than the LG pair that comes with EZ Dispense, so you'll need to figure out if that is worth the extra cost to you.

I got the Electrolux perfect care 600 10kg, and it doesn't wash past 2-3 kilos. The clothes will come out half wet, half completely dry. The company technician said that is how it was made. The energy saving system lets you wash 2-3 washes for less cost than 1 of an old type of washing machine. Who has time to wash every day of the week for2-3 hours? With my old washing machine, I could do the same amount once a week on weekdays. Avoid at all cost.

Samsung is garbage, Lg is probaly better on some ways like customer service, however, the bang for your buck is electrocux 627 series

Where is the drain pump filter on these models? Most of the front-loads now have a hatch on the front to easily be able to clean them, I don't see that on these models.

Hi Corwin - These washers do not have access panels for cleaning the drain filter since they are self cleaning. Just make sure you run the self clean cycle at least once a month to keep the filter from getting clogged. This is from Electrolux: "Some of the new high-efficiency washing machines do not have removable filters as they are self-cleaning. To clean a self-cleaning washing machine filter, simply run a cleaning cycle once a month to wash away any lint."

We have the electrolux efls627 and I was searching around for the differences between the solid soil level and the max level, when using either on heavy duty. Does one level use more water, or agitate stronger? Having watched them, I can not tell.

Does these washer cause water hammering like LG washers. Meaning will it turn on your water valve on and off too quickly causing ur pipes to hammer

I never realized it's something to do with the brand, I hear loud bangs from my LG top loader when it draws water. I even installed hammer arrestors on the inlet, not much help. Water pressure from main is normal.

In the video, it is mentioned that Electrolux is the only brand that is able to adjust hinge side. Doesn't GE have this available in their 550, 650, and 850 series?

Good catch! Yes you are completely correct we should have said this is "one of the only" washing machines to offer a reversible door on the washer. Thanks for pointing that out.

Have you had complaints about the dryer door design being flat and the clothes getting stuck over the dryer vent? In some case clothes or small floor rugs have been ripped as they have become stuck on the dryer bar and vent area.

I have personally noticed this. I've found that only small items like socks , our baby's socks . Get stuck. The items have been as dry as the other items. To be honest, the dryer is a bit disappointing overall. Many times our clothes are still damp on the sensor setting.

@@kallensaczkowski I Notice that as well. The socks do get stuck a little on the vent but watch it within 15 seconds a piece of clothing picks it up and gets it spinning again. I like to use the time dry or sanitize feature then they get nice and dry

I use a mesh bag for small items and still, it's not working. The clothes are being pushed towards the door and stay on the filter and when I open the dryer door it all falling on the floor. Also, I don't know if it happened to anyone, but after every drying cycle, I get a ''clean lint'' message that pops up when it's barely any lint in the filter.

Just took delivery on a new Electrolux washer about five hours ago (June 10, 2022). Did my first load on the normal cycle with one pod. At the end of the cycle there was soap suds all over the inside of the glass door. Very disappointing. Again, just one pod. I just did the load again, with no soap. At the end of the second cycle, there was still traces of soap, around the inside of the glass door, again I used NO soap this second time. The machine is designed for up to 2 pods, which I would never do, now that I know how badly the machine rinses soap. -Buyer beware

The clothes are overly wrinkled when you pull them out of the washer (627 series); far moreso than my previous Whirlpool. Have tried more/few clothes, warm/cold water, shorter/longer wash. I'm still not happy. Should be able to wash and hang dry and not need to iron.

Avoid electrolux at all cost. Right after 2 years use, warranty over, Electronic part spoiled, repair cost 300 dollars. 1 month later motor spoiled, cost another 300 to repair.

Bought an Electrolux efls627 washer 2 years ago. The main bearing on the tub is already going. Owned LG and Samsung and the bearings went out in 5 years and I thought that was bad. Bought this due to good ratings. Not good for longevity or reliability. Really cheaply built. Most washers now still use clamps to retain hoses so they stay in place and don't leak. Not Electrolux they use wire ties. So you have to cut them off and buy new wire ties to take hoses on and off. The Samsung and LG front load washer had balance weights that were metal or a really hard composite of cement and some kind of resin. Not this crappy Electrolux. It has a poor quality of cement. You have to be careful taking them off while disassembling the washer for fear they will crumble. I bought the washer because it was highly rated. That was due to features and hype. Don't buy this thing unless you want to replace it in 2 years. Replacing the tub bearing requires buying the rear tub assembly. That part costs around $400 (I got an open box off of eBay for 250) But if you had a repair man do this, the part would cost at least $400 and the repair labor would likely be over $200. So you are paying over $600 dollars to repair a washer that is only worth $800. So unless you want to Spend at least $800 dollars every two years don't buy Electrolux. By the way. Working on this thing is horrible as well. This thing is the biggest POS I have ever seen. Makes me certain I will buy LG the next time. Oh, and they mix SAE and metric to make it even more fun.

I bought the 627, nothing but problems. It has been replaced three times…yes. Three times!!! Stupid machine still leaks from the front door seal. Clearly there is a design flaw that they aren’t owning up to. It has been an absolute nightmare dealing with Electrolux customer service. I think they have the worst customer service of any brand!

The washer and dryer quality and service are very poor. Washer and dryer both failed within first year and a half (EFLS627UTT1 and EFMC627UTT1). Had to replace main board in each (1 under warranty and 1 not). Service support told me to go away, did not respond to emails. There are better solutions for the money

This is my second Electrolux. I loved my first one, Do not recommend this model. This machine is less than one years old. In the rinse cycle it doesn’t drain out the rinse water completely and only spins after last rinse. It is noisy and the drains keep turning on and off. Bells and whistles, but forgot the basics. No help from Electrolux.

After you get a mortgage to buy them. You'll find out that to do a set of towles, they want even be all wet when done. Big water problem! Isn't that the whole idea of doing wash. The washer drum is about as thick as aluminum foil. Cheaply made. Note: you don't to be a NASA engineer to do wash, just do wash. The computer is way too much. All in all, this Electrolux SUCKS! Especially the high end models. And, they stink. Yes, smell like spoiled milk with moldy water from just standing. This means spending more money to de-smell the washer. Nit worth the "investment." Run away from this brand.

Thanks for your comment but I don't really agree with everything you said. Electrolux's top-of-the-line pair retails for about $2,000 which is less than other brands top of the line pairs which can top $3,000. $2,000 is still a lot of money so this pair isn't for everyone obviously. As far as water usage, I care more if clothes come out clean, not wet. With the 1,300 rpm final spin cycle the towels should almost feel dry by the time they are ready to move to the dryer (this saves money and time running the dryer). Are you not getting clean clothes or are you just disappointed they aren't wet at the end? As far as smell, all front-loaders need to be cleaned occasionally due to the gasket. If you don't maintain your laundry, mold is bound to build up. Overall... I didn't really hear a specific complaint that doesn't apply to every single front load washer and dryer on the market. Please share if you have specific issues. Thanks!
