I’ll never forget when we had one of these machines. My mum was using it and The pitch of the motor got lower and lower and it started making the pop of death noise LOL, I’ll never forget that stink. That smell of burning out motor isn’t a smell you’ll forget once you’ve smelled it. We got an obnoxious bagless Hoover pure power I think after that. That or a bissell
I've got the bagged version of this, the Powerlite Petlover, and to be honest, I'm quite pleased with that, the floorhead is basically the same, and the tools are the same too, but I do find the hose kinks very easily and cuts off the airflow when using the tools, not to mention the hose is very short and not stretchable.On mine, there is a removable pleated hepa post motor filter where the headlight aperture is on yours, and this is a better idea than not having an easily serviceable post motor filter. The filthy state of the motor housing on your vac, obviously caused due to the machine being used at some time without the cone filter fitted in the bin, was a fire waiting to happen, especially if the motor overheated and started burning out with excessive arcing from the carbon brushes. All that hair and dust would have caught alight fairly easily I'd say, and that was quite dangerous built up in their like it was, with no easy way for the owner to clean it out other than taking the machine apart, which most people would not know how to do.Cone filters with no outer cover are about the worst kind of bagless system, they clog so quickly it aint funny, and the bagged version is much easier to maintain - it even uses microfiber cloth bags.I would have replaced that belt though, for peace of mind that someone aint gonna use it on deep pile carpet and find the brushroll stalls due to the belt not being as tight as it could have been, but I suppose if they complained, you'd tell them to bring it back to you and you would have fitted them a new belt. Part of my problem when I used to refurb Dysons to sell on ebay was I used to fit too many new parts and end up making next to nothing on each machine, so I suppose you have to weigh up what to spend and what not to spend on a cheapy machine like that one. +NumaticHD It was slightly annoying as I hoped it would just need a quick vac off and a wipe down! But it needed to be done, I couldn't sell it like that, and didn't want to bin it. Saying that no one has bought it yet...
hopefully they do. and i use to do vacuum videos but are more into pc stuff if you have a old pc or parts you are throwing away let me know on one of my videos and ill have them.
I've got a few laptops I need to sort, ex corporate hp probooks with bios passwords and hard drive passwords! Can you solder blank bios chips into stuff? You can't crack probook bios passwords sadly... And a dell desktop that eva messes with that I must do something with
Jamison Walker Probably not, as I'd have to clean it out again to sell it. I ran it round in the video a bit, there's other Vitesse videos on my channel too, an orange one I used a fair bit in one video! Or come to oxfordshire with £20 and its yours!
