HI Alec - thanks for your video's. I'm currently battling with an E3 code on my Electrolux UltraActive bagless (the yellow one) - so while I wait for the filters to dry, i've been looking at your other video's. This was really good, and gave me the guts to try popping out my sticky buttons. Once I took the buttons out, I used a nail file (yes, the girly type you get from woolworths) to "shave down" the sides of the buttons where they stick and then popped them back on - good as new! HTH :)
Alec.. you sir are the man. I completely agree with everything you said. Having a electric motor sit under all the plastic of the frame is bad news for longevity of the vacuum. Anyways thanks for your videos
Alec, thanks for posting these videos. I really like learning new things & fixing things myself to save money & the feeling of self satisfaction. Your video helped me figure out (partially) how to disassemble our Electrolux Jetmaxx 4042A in order to repair the cordwinder. It is not catching & the cord constantly retracts. Problem is I can't seem to figure out how to pop off the rear of the upper casing. There are 2 screw back there that I removed but the center section (bump) is stuck?
I have a problem I can't seem to find a video for. I have an Electrolux 2100 canister vacuum. When I'm vacuuming, the hose constantly separates from the handle. Any suggestions you may have would be most appreciated. Thanks!
Hi just watched parts of your video. We have a elextrolux ultra active ZUAG3800 model. I have just been vacuuming and in moving to another room, unplugged and replugged to another socket it will not turn on. I noticed the motor around the exhaust filter was pretty hot and yes we have neglected cleaning those filters. A while ago i tried cleaning the Hepa motor filter but it sort of disintegrated, obviously not the washable type. But a few days ago i did order a new kit USK6 but possibly to late now.
Where do you buy the filters from? Also my cleaner which is a ZUA3860pt, going to get a filter I guess. Thank you for the videos they are so helpful.....when you buy these they never tell you much about them not even that you can buy filters either from them or letting you know where to buy these things. Thank you.
Hi Alec, I was wondering if I could contact you by some other means, other than youtube. I have an overheating issue with my vac, that I hope you can shed some light on
