These projects are usually done as groups in my school, its impressive they working by themselves. also we put our final project in enclosure I see your projects are open, and not enclosed.

The last project, the one related to photonics, does it help to transfer huge amount of data from one mobile to another within seconds...

Great projects!! The last gentleman from Poland had me excited for a second because I thought his system was an EXTERNALLY detected AUDIO WAVE FORM - TO - LED OSCILLATION DEVICE. However according to his description, his device takes the VOLTAGE FROM THE SPEAKER WIRE LOAD OUTPUT. Then he converts this into a multivibrator oscillation of the same frequency to 'pulse' the LED. The LED PULSES ( which are the light wave equivalent of audio signal) can then be detected over a very long distance which theoretically would not suffer from the same drop out issues that a short range radio transmission would. With this concept in mind it wouldn't be that difficult to use the same tech to send WIFI over a much longer distance as compared to the electronics involved to make it happen. Also, I am sure that many of you recall the device which detects conversations inside homes and buildings by picking up the visible vibration movement from window glass. Well, I have a similar concept that I am still researching exactly how to do this, but the goal is to create a material which chemically responds to audio vibrations the way film reacts to light. We already know that once a material changes it's form, detection and translation is pretty easy. Look at how Movie Film captures sound waves and then reverses the process to play it back. This is also how a record needle works. Well, with digital and MICRO ELECTRO MECHANICAL SYSTEMS (MEMS) we can go even deeper into our studies. People say that our government is 20 years ahead in technology. That is easy to believe because all it takes are ideas which use the latest technology to make them happen and HOLD BACK. Well duh'! We know the governments good for one thing- HOLDING BACK! I know that out there somewhere is the technology to create a very precise molecular substance which like photographic film can be used to capture the real time vibrations of sound, and be 'played back later. Basically a tape recorder without the magnetic tape head. Well, who says you need a tape head! THINK MY FELLOW ENGINEER THINK! ( just keep it away from MIT, those shifty fellows;). So QUESTION: HOW DO YOU CAPTURE AIR STIMULATED AUDIO WAVE FORMS ONTO A THIN, TAPE OR FILM, WITHOUT ANY VISIBLY MOVING COMPONENTS ( BY THE NAKED EYE THAT IS)? I know the ending to this puzzle. Do you? One thing, I have yet to see- someone take the bait and bring a real product into fruition.

paulj0557 LED modulation to send audio to a speaker across the room from a laptop wirelessly... I saw that in the early days of youtube as a simple weekend project for anyone so I'm suprised you can do something like that at degree level. The same goes for most projects here, they're A-level at best. If you want to talk about sending "wifi" over a long distance from single point to single point, fibre optics already exist. If you want to talk about wireless single-to-many transmission using light instead of radio waves, you have the same problem as radio waves, the exponential loss of signal power with distance but with light you also are limited to line of sight. The point is this... No, light transmission through air isn't going to replace wifi. Light waves and radio waves aren't that different anyway. As for your conspiracy theory ramblings.. I just couldn't force myself to read through to the end.

There are many components to studying electronics. One plan I discovered that successfully combines these is the Gregs Electro Blog (check it out on google) definately the most useful info that I've heard of. look at this awesome resource.

Nobody is good at programming. It's a language. Nobody can teach it you unless you want to learn it yourself. All you have to do is grab a book on the programming language you want to learn.

I wanna do electronic engineering cuz nothing else impresses me as much but at the same time I'm not sure what future it has let's say 5 or 6 years from now when I finish my studies, anyone has an advice ? I'd really appreciate it cuz I'm really confused and is it possible to study electronics and then do masters in robotics or some other AI related field?

Nina Torees Where do you live? If you're in a first world country, there is no market for electrical engineers.
@miaomiao07

Theball Player are you serious? no market for electrical engineers? how about market for electronic and mechanical engineers? Is it possible to shed some light into this. What kind of engineering would be more in demand? Thanks!
@thatguythatdoesstuff7448

Miao Miao Universities don't usually distinguish electrical vs electronic. Electronics is a subset of electrical engineering. So I would consider those the same. To be more clear, of course there's a market for those fields. But, for instance, in USA, it's extremely limited and there is not a big demand for entry level engineers. Not when that can be outsourced to China or some other similar country for far less than it would be to pay a US worker. And I see little demand even for Senior, high level electrical engineers. For a career in electronics in the US, you're going to have to be an entrepreneur first. Create an in demand product, like Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or something else. Then build a company out of it. But I don't see a lot of jobs out there for entry level stuff. Mechanical engineering, I'm not sure. I've never really looked into it. The US has a huge infrastructure, so if you're not picky about the field, mechanical engineering might have more prospects.

Theball Player Hi thanks for the reply! From what I've read online, mechanical engineering such as the aerospace sector. They outsource from less developed countries for the technicians. My friend from chemical engineering says they hired many foreign workers in the work place as well.

What is the difference between the 'electronic' and 'electrical' courses at undergraduate level?

elctronic courses are basically related the procesing of the equpments in the electric circuit while electrical is the study different type of analytical references of instrument made with the. As electronics is in depth so its tough
