I currently have a kia soul 2012 with "check steering lock" on the dash. I have checked all the fuses and they seem to be ok. The car has its wheels stuck facing in one direction. initially I could move the wheel but only to the right. now its on full lock to the right. It has no ignition barrel as it is the Push start version. Is there anything I can try other than removing the ESCL?
Hi there, The following video explains everything to check the ESCL on the car: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UpBFRVQF7G4.htmlsi=o215Bjkjvt4m9d3a
Hi there, you can find the Hyundai and Kia wiring diagrams in three different ways: if you can find their OEM scan tool (GDS) which is on the market as well, it provides all diagrams for all cars up to 2018. Also, there are some online websites offering the diagrams for a monthly fee. But the best source is their technical websites that dealerships have access to.
I have a 2010 genesis coupe everytime I press the push button I here a click in the escl no accessorie or start sometimes I get immobilizer light would this be the issue
Hi there, I don’t think it’s from ESCL. Check relevant fuses inside the interior fuse box, ACC and IG relays must be checked too. Don’t you have any warning message on instrument cluster?
Hi sir i want to ask you about a kia sprtage nq5 crdi equipped with the dct gearbox it is misfiring when driving only at reverse gear and when scanning the engine module with the kds it sets a default code which says "fuel injector driver circuit" however this code is shown as history not active thank you in advance
Hi there, I suggest to check the injectors connectors, PCM connector and wiring in between. There are two wires on each injector, this fault is coming from the switch side of the wiring.
Steering locks are an old idea from back when cars had no immobilizers. They are no longer needed today, and are more of a hindrance rather anything else.
