very nice, one change i would make to the board is put the extra pins on the outside, not inside, so if you put a shield on, you will still have access to the pins on the outside. Gracias, muy bien.

You might have considered using the atmega328b chip. This adds more i/o, extra usart, extra spi, extra i2c. It's in the QFTP package, but they are not hard to solder by hand.

If I was to do this I would use screw terminals for the first row and headers on the second row. Also a ZIF socket and maybe a resonator instead of a crystal to lower the component BOM. Call me crazy but a RS232 port would be nice so I don't have to always use USB.

Greetings from Greece brother!

Arduino never has been my passion because I always loved speed and flexibility and I was Microchip fan. Lately arduino has come in to my bench to simulate some signals to test my STM32F407 designs running FreeRTOS. They are commercial products I design for living. If you start using ARM chips you would know what you really missed while staying with arduino layer. I need few Arduino boards and its good idea to build it when I send my next order to JLCPCB. They are building the future.
