Well done my friend. I have a CRF250L as a winter hack. It's a great bike, but I couldn't do what you've just done. As others have commented....total respect to you Sir. Subbed.
Very impressed! I'd love to see a video on how you kitted out your crf for the trip. I also have a 250l and am constantly tweeking luggage, fuel cans etc. when I do my longer trips. Inspiring ride!
mygg15 thanks! I had the stock tyre on the front as I was used to riding that and it had plenty of tread left. The rear was a Michelin Tracker. Great off road! Wore well after 1400 miles of tarmac too. Have a look at my tyre review and blog on greatfunonsmallbikes.com/blog-feed/
How much fuel did you have to carry ? 65/70 miles and I'm empty, I carry a spare liter with me but when I crossed half of the country I found it awkward.
irgendwieanders1 to be honest the tyres were ok on the tarmac and then on the proper snow great. The worst bit was fresh snowfall on the motorway, that was very sketchy for a few miles!
