Elefant tank destroyer with foliage camouflage - full build (Tamiya 1/35 scale model) 

Full build, painting, weathering, and review of Tamiya's 1/35 scale Elefant tank destroyer. Painting is done with airbrushed Tamiya acrylic paints while weathering effects are added using oil paints. Mud effects are created using acrylic texture paste and modelling pigments. Scenic scatter and static grass were used to create the sea foam trees for the foliage camouflage.You can find the kit here: amzn.to/370Fk7H
The Elefant tank destroyer was the name given to an upgraded version of the Ferdinand heavy tank destroyer developed in early 1944. The Ferdinands were based on the hulls developed for the Tiger I prototype which was later rejected. Ferdinands saw action in Kursk, while the upgraded Elefants saw action in Italy, Normandy, and in the Battle of Berlin.
