This residential project captures the essence of modern living with a design that blends functionality and aesthetics in a suburban setting. The house is located in a peaceful neighborhood, and its exterior design thoughtfully responds to the surrounding environment. The architecture creates a seamless transition between the public and private realms, using a series of layered elements such as fences, eaves, flower beds, and vegetation to add depth to the facade. Rather than relying on a single feature to separate the interior from the exterior, the design uses these elements to soften the boundary, making the house feel open yet secure.Inside, the home is organized to enhance both flow and privacy. The ground floor is arranged in long strips, with service areas connecting the front and back of the house. The interior is defined by three voids that create distinct zones within the home, allowing for various levels of privacy while maintaining a sense of openness. These voids also serve as light wells, drawing natural light into different areas of the house, particularly through the double-height spaces.The second floor features a master suite connected to the rest of the home via a metal walkway, overlooking the living area below. This design maximizes visual connection while maintaining functional separation. A private terrace in the master suite enhances the sense of light and space, with views over both the street and the backyard.The material palette is simple yet refined, combining exposed concrete slabs with clean, white walls and expansive glazing. This approach emphasizes the geometry of the structure and creates a calm, neutral backdrop for daily life. Patterns are subtly incorporated throughout the design, in both the furnishings and the structural elements, adding texture and visual interest. Movable sunshades and privacy screens on the upper level respond to the changing light, offering flexibility and enhancing the comfort of the occupants. The result is a home that feels both elegant and welcoming, with a modern aesthetic that prioritizes both beauty and function.
