Got this bike after watching your review, and currently I like it. Shipping time was only 5 days to germany, which was faster than expected. Putting it together took me 1 hour, but was a painless experience. Packaged pretty well, so even getting it completely out of the package took some time. I just feel like the 7 gears are not enough, because reaching 25km/h is pretty easy thanks to the powerful motor, but then I would love to have 1 or 2 gears more to have it easier to accelerate further / keep up with the speed. It's easily possible to get up to 30-32km/h for an untrained person, but not as comfortable as it would be with a higher gear. Didn't do a lot of range testing myself, as it is currently raining a lot, but after 11 km of a not flat ride, and it still showed a full battery. And as you said no rattling from the battery or anything and a very quite ride. The only thing I'm going to change rather early is the bell, because mine somehow doesn't work good.
@Techtablets
@Techtablets 2 года назад
Glad you like it and thanks for the feedback it's a very good bike for the price. Yes top speed is a bit harder but I can happily cruise myself on the flat at 30km/h.
@susch19
@susch19 Год назад
I have to correct myself. 7 Gears are enough, my problem was just, that the guard for the derailleur wasn't bend correctly and therefore blocking the shift into the 7th gear. So what I thought was the 7th gear was only the 6th. With some help of a car jack I was able to bend it ever so slighty to now have ~1mm gap between 7th gear position and the guard. Now it is quite comfortable to ride 30km/h :) Currently just drove 33km on one battery charge and still got "60%" left (3 out of 5 bars). Climbing hills with 5th gear and 18km/h is also a breeze

Do we need to have license for this ? Any particular requirements to ride this bike in Germany ? Pls comment..How wa s your experience so far with this bike ?
@susch19
@susch19 Год назад
@@ArjunrajRadjendirane No license needed, as long as the bike can only go up to 6km/h on its own and up to 25km/h as assistance. The throttle, which comes separately with the bike is not allowed to be installed, as the usage is illegal on public roads. But I couldn't drive it alot, because the weather over the winter isn't very inviting

Some youtubers report punctures, mainly on the rear wheel. The problem with these punctures is that the head of the spokes injure the inner tube. It is necessary to put a protective strip in the rim (a few euros at Amazon) and the problem is solved.
@Techtablets
@Techtablets Год назад
Hi, haven't had that issue with this ebike, but I did with another one and yes I can confirm it was the same issue the rim was damaging the innertubes and would slowly cut them and cause a flat. The fix was to use some tubeless seal strip similar to what you suggest and that did the trick. Fix it.

I can't understand all the good reviews for this bike. While the electric assist seems to work great, the overall quality is not good. Here are some of the things I noticed when I got my new T1: - paint is terrible. It looks like it got a few coats from a rattle can and had scratches straight out of the box. - gears did not work right when I assembled the bike. Couldn't engage 1st or 7th. I fixed 1st easily enough but I had to bend the metal protector on the frame to allow the gear mechanism to engage 7th. I still can't select 4th. - Bad rattle coming from the front of the battery. I finally found out what was causing this - the metal box containing the motor controller was just shoved into the frame!! No screws hold it in place or foam padding, nothing. The box just rattled inside the frame over all kinds of surfaces. I suggest avoiding Eleglide and get a bike with a little quality control.

Btw 250w is the required motor size, not peak power, so for eu and uk, its 250w max and 15.5mph, so your speed is correct but 500peak would not.

For peak power of 500w the battery would need a higher voltage, say my bafang mid bbshd is 1000watts with a 48v battery, to get a peak power over that i would need 52v battery.

Excellent review! because of this I ended up buying this bike, although I have a question... I noticed that the assist modes, the only thing they do is to accelerate till the set speed. independently on how fast I'm pedalling. is this normal? I was a bit disappointed about this. is not like an "intelligent system" that it would adapt on how fast I'm pedalling for the assisted power.
@Techtablets
@Techtablets Год назад
Yes that's correct as it uses the cheaper speed sensor system, what you're after the more expensive bikes with torque sensors use that.
@FelipeTrotamundos
@FelipeTrotamundos Год назад
@@Techtablets thanks for the quick reply. that's unfortunately, my cheaper Samebike ebike had a better assist mode, although the rest of parts on that bike where very bad quality and that's why I bought the T1, overall I'm still happy with it.

Funny fact this appears just as i bought the spare battery for this bike since it had a similar design to the Elife Patriot eBike since the battery died after 12 months 2 weeks of using it for a fair amount. Might end up purchasing this one since the site I got the battery from is doing the bike at £889 GBP or 1022 USD

Well that battery should have still been okay, odd it died so early on. Have you got the bike yet?
@omracer6

@@Techtablets should have but it's a complex mix for the elife having to shake the battery o wake the LED indicator up on the charger and even on 2 bars on the elifes indicator the battery will cut out . My take on E-bikes: All e-bikes should come with built in GPS in the motor..and really this astonishes me.. it is not that expensive I suppose... Some pricey e-bikes have begun to do that. but this should be mandatory. Not gonna buy any E-bike with out built in GPS.. Please Chris mention this in your videos, manufacturers might take notes
@Techtablets
@Techtablets 2 года назад
My expensive trek rail 5 doesn't have it. Ffor apps or if it's stolen? Defiantly for tracking down a stolen ebike it's really a must.

@@TechtabletsFor some people an E-bike is not only a fun ride, it is also a daily form of commute, whether going shopping whether you go to work, whether you go to mountains and at some point you just need to go on feet and leave the bike... And you know the situation, even in Europe bike theft is too common.. probably, in addition to that, an European law should come into effect to rise the punishment if a thief is caught so it can be deterrent. Till then a GPS must be mandatory
@krollpeter
@krollpeter 2 года назад
@@mizoalmasri3022 I tend to agree. The GPS sensor should be non-removable and non-destroyable. I heard in the UK they even break into the garages, with damages in excess of the value of a bike.
