Great content as always, unlucky me !just renew my Elektor green subscription 20 hours ago, I was planning to get Elektor SDR shield for a while and now right time to order one. I definitely would like to see similar videos including Raspberry Pi too.. thanks for the great work.

I'd love to see more videos on this. A series please. It looks reasonably priced compared to other things I've seen, and it's SDR so you can do what you want (with appropriate license). The sky is the limit. The transmit piece looks really interesting. Wspr with a battery and solar powered Arduino anyone? Going over some of the code examples and what they do would be cool. I've never seen that SDR software either. Gonna have to check it out if you don't make a video on it before I get a chance to look at it. 🤔

Sure, I did do some testing but it was slightly off frequency so I never got any hits, but I’ll revisit this project soon and create a video. Probably needs some form of calibration before TX.

People are going to be asking for unpublished specs for this thing that may be applicable but only relevant really on the much costlier alternatives. This is a toy and a properly cool one at that.

What kind of antenna will I need to use this shortwave sdr?

As it receives 30mhz and down you could use a random length of wire, long and high as possible.

That depend on your sound card .... the higher the sample rate of your sound card the wider the band

Great! I’ll definitely revisit this project soon as I also want to see how well it performs on WSPR. Initial tests was that it was off frequency, but there must be a calibration I need to do first. 👍

Wasn’t meant to be an ad, well, maybe an advert to show what the SDRShield can do for those that hadn’t seen it before. What I find interesting about this is the ability to create custom applications via the Arduino :)

I counted about 29 straight forward clicks before this thing came on. How much is this and how much is it. I have an arduino I worked 29 hours..count them 20 hours on making my SDR work and it wouldn't even. Come on.
