The issue with the WNBA is that, there really is no purpose to watch it. Seriously. What makes the NBA so exciting are the technicians as well as the physical freaks of nature. I look at Stephen Curry as a technician. I look at LeBron as a physical freak of nature. Al Horford physically is a freak, but his style is more of a technician. Shaquille O'Neal was a physical freak of nature, and his style was overtly physical. Grown men used to bounce off of him like rag dolls. Russell Westbrook is a perfect example of a player that plays great, but isn't really a great player. He physically jumps out of the gym. Nate Robinson and Spud Webb had no business being in the NBA. However they had Immaculate dunking ability. Women in the WNBA physically do not push the boundaries of what you think the average human can do. It's not as if they can't ball, but that's not really what makes you want to watch sports. Take quarterbacks in the NFL for example, someone like Tom Brady isn't classically what you would consider to be athletic, but he performs great acts of physical Brilliance under great conflict. Imagine being able to throw a perfect football downfield when Suh and Aaron Donald are trying to take your head off, as Gronkowski is defended by Aqib Talib shows great conflict. What is the WNBA?

The argument that the overall percentage that they're being paid should be raised is bullshit. The WNBA teams are already losing money by paying them this much. Wanna know how to earn more money? Make more money for your teams and then you will be able to negotiate for bigger contracts by being entertaining. Men are quicker, more agile, stronger and that's why they are different. That's why the NBA is way more entertaining than the WNBA and that's a fact. So, WNBA players, if you wanna get paid more, start being more entertaining, start doing killer crossovers, start draining threes, start doing some crazy windmill dunks. If you do this, you will get the attention of the media and fans. People will then watch your games on TV and you will have way more fan attendance. If this happens your teams will make way more money and they will be able to pay you a higher percentage of the money made, which is overall more money. Don't even get me started on how the NBA is giving millions of dollars to the WNBA every year and WNBA teams are still losing money. And don't even get me started on how short your season is. Stop talking and get good.

Basketball is basketball, I went to a Mystics game a few years ago and was shocked at how talented these athletes are. We say 'Female basketball player' because you are one, males are exponentially more dominant than females in basketball. That's why we have a separate female league. Women's basketball will never be 'bad ass' because women just don't have the same athletic capabilities as men. You won't see a girl drive it coast to coast like John Wall and finish it with a slam, or a Euro-step dunk like Giannis. Guys don't watch women basketball to learn, we watch to laugh, you even see it in the video. Women's basketball is undoubtedly fundamental, you watch their dribbling compared to the NBA's and it's very different, as well as their jumpshot, driving, etc. That might be the only reason to watch the WNBA. You can't promote a boring league, I'm sorry but Women's basketball will never be as exciting as the NBA. Honestly stopped in the middle of this video bc I can't take the blatant lack of logic, there is no reason for WNBA to ever be equal to the NBA.

I watch a lot of women's sports; lately a lot of hoops. Watching Iowa Hawkeyes has led to watch the recruits as well, so now I'm following a lot of HS players. As a former volleyballer; I find the women's versions make for a better game than the men's. And of course, the USA women have been absolutely killing it at the Olympics and other international games.

Hardly anyone cares about the WNBA, in part because they spend most of their marketing efforts on the LGBTQ etc etc fan base and pretty much ignore anyone else. That player for the Mystics whined about them not being included in a Tweet with the National and Capitals. Well, they have their fan base, the small fan base they preferred. They tried to sell the league initially to the average fan by putting their prettiest players on display in commercials...but that backfired when most of them turned out to be lesbians anyway (Bird, Della Donne, etc). They presented a false picture of themselves to attract more fans and pretend the lesbian stereotype wasn't real...but it was a big fat lie and now they pay the price. Seriously, I have never ever heard anyone male or female talk about the WNBA in daily conversation. Stop pretending you're relevant when you're not even on the level with MLS anymore.
