Guido Dam she's not from Cyprus. She a born Albanian who moved to Greece at the age of 8. Racist disgusting Greeks would not allow her to represent Greece so Cyprus excepted her to represent Cyprus. Truly impressive. For me Alex Papaconstantinou makes my day. I know him mostly for his collaboration with Arash, but then he also did the wonderful Ivi Adamou song "La La Love" and how can you forget the charming Sarbel and the song "Yassou Maria". Of course he had started with Swedish Greek band Antique (Elena Paparizou and Nikos Panagiotidis) and the Iranian Swedish singer Cameron Cartio and some great songs for Elena Paparizou, Anna Vissi etc and collaboration with RedOne and Khaled.

Her family could well be from Ioannina, many Albanians are from Ioannina. Besides, you mistake the caution one has to exercise in a xenophobic country like Greece, in order to have any prospects, for shame . Few days ago she made the Albanian eagle sign and all hell broke loose .
Sai Mir Greece is not a xenophobic country at all, it hosted 1 million Albanians in 90s and today it's the only European country hosting refugees. Singers like Tamta from Georgia and composers like Claydee from Albania had the guts to say from the beginning that they were from another country and still have a great career and people love them. Foureira is just ashamed of her origins, and no she is not from Ioannina. Even in the press conference after the semi final she said in front of all that her home country is Greece and she feels really sad for Greece not passing through to the final. Also, to understand that Eleni is not the only one ashamed for her Albanian origin, in countries like England the Albanian immigrants present themselves as Greeks and get involved into Greek groups and activities and not Albanian ones.

(There is a new theory going around that Marko Bocari and Kolokotronis learned to speak Albanian at the school of foreign languages) I only feel sad and I would love to help you, if only I could. A million Albanians have indeed found employment in Greece and have made a huge impact to the local economy as anyone well versed in the intricacies of Greek economy would be able to tell you, the difference is that after decades, indeed even those that were born in Greece are not entitled to a passport, they have to change names, religion etc etc and when our students excel at school, they are not allowed to carry the flag, because they are still Albanians and can never become Greeks - whether it is the National front or your proud army that sings about producing shoe laces out of our insides - Not such an accepting environment after all. But than again, perhaps I am biased , I think you need to see the contrast first, to see how we treat and look after our brothers, Greeks of Albania before we carry on with this conversation. And lastly, your xenophobia is not something that I diagnose with any form of contentment, rather it is a source of genuine sadness. These are two nations that have far more in common that they seem to recognise, far more to gain than lose from better relations. which should start with the abrogation of the formal declaration of war by Greece, which is still in effect.
6:19 I think says it all... (when it comes to the UK not doing well in Eurovision)... As much as I like most of the acts sent, they are pretty much new... The winners (and for that fact, the runners up...) for the most part, have had more than one album, and won many awards (I think mans Zelmerlow from Sweden was on his third album when, 'Heros' was released). Of course, we don't send those artists...a big shame. Side note: She's pretty amazing, isn't she? I mean, not much of a hint of ego here. And gorgeous as well... It's a great a song ;-)

I apreciate for long time the songs from Israel, this year i cant undrstand waht people see im this song. Pardon me my dear and friendlys from Israel but i just dont unsdrstand. A nother case is from Cyprius a nice cuntry , friendly people as well but pelase again more of the same? I belive after last year quality it will bigin to be apreciate and after all it was a dream. Lituania great song and there otheres as well very nice as Checa and even France and Italy. But i am a litle desapoitment about the favorites this year. Eurofestival need more quality , more knowlege about good music. But we must rspect all opinions of course and im the limite welcome all and good luke. Regards!
