Eleonora looked a bit forlorne when he new-owner-to-be and I first climbed onto her, stuffed into a storage shed in Hague, NY. A Lake George boat, she'd been languishing in that bard for several years, when Marselis Parsons new he'd made one of those rare barn finds.
Snake Mountain Boatworks had the honor of bringing her back. There were some rotted planks and many failed fasteners from keel to gunwale. We removed both bottom and topside paint, faired all surfaces, and repainted her in copper bronze antifouling paint and Interlux two-part Perfection epoxy.
We gutted, cleaned and repainted the bilge, but only after replacing 17 broken, rotted and failed ribs.
Well, Eleonora is back! Enjoy watching her take command of Lake Champlain!

I did one of these that I found in a marine warehouse in Mass. I remembered that a guy that I knew in Glouchester, Mass. who casually mentioned he would love to have one. So, he saw it, bought it, and hired me to work on it. I had to get that cruddy fibreglass bottom paint off - too much drag. Did the bottom in Glouchester Bronze Anti-Fouling, red boot top, dark blue topside except white sheer strake. Chrysler Marine 225 hp, in my opinion the best v-8 gas engine ever put in a boat. Stripped the many sloppy coats of varnish off of the ribs and interior side of planking, used Cetol instead, re-varnished the trim, windshields, etc. Drop-dead beautiful out on her mooring. Rebuilt Carter AFB . Great sea boat!

She is a gorgeous creature! Please take care of her. My father had a 1964 hard-top with a 220 gray marine when I was growing up. Lots of fond memories of my experiences with Dad on that boat that I will remember for a life time. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you! We had a wonderful shakedown ride before Marselis roared 40+ miles up Lake Champlain and secured Eleonora to her new mooring.

Jut bought a 25' 64 Lyman hard top about 3/4 restored. Excited to finish it and get her in the water...But I don't have a trailer. Any recommendations on where I could find one?
