Honestly the best travel channel I've come across! You two have a great eye for the details that make each place unique & special. Keep up the great work :)
I love elephants and I have spent time at this sanctuary in Chiang Mai. It is rare, but sometimes elephants, due to some previous traumas, can become enraged at humans. I recall a lovely young woman, an athlete and adventurous traveler, and animal lover, who was thrown off an elephant and stomped, fracturing spines and many bones. This happened outside Chiang Mai, but on a good note: the young woman made a full recovery after several operations and intense rehabilitation recovery. And again, this incident was extremely rare --- I find elephants and dolphins to be such clever and gentle mammals,
We have been to Latvia. Ernestas is from Lithuania! We didn't make a video of Latvia tho, just of Estonia and Lithuania, but we will do it next time! ❤
Out of the 50+ videos on Elephant experiences in Thailand this is by far the BEST. Can you tell me the package you booked as the website is a little confusing and want to book the right one. We are looking to do just as you both did and stay over the night and have breakfast with them.👍Also when did you actually visit? what month?
Thank you so much for the comment! It made our day. What we did was this half day experience: chailaiorchid.com/elephant-care-1-2-day-trip-new/ Then we also booked a room with them. All of the overnight stays include breakfast with elephants. :) Just make sure to book the room a little ahead as some moths they are more busy. We visited in November.
This is not an ethical place for anyone, for sure not for the elephants! The elephants do not like to swim with humans ie and you should not be allowed to pet them! They are wild animals with their own rights to live as they are supposed to, which is not to entertain humans. If your heart goes out to saving elephants go to Elephant Nature Park instead!
This is an elephant sacristy these elephants grew up in captivity and can not be re introduced to the wild. They are use to humans. But this place unlike other places don’t let you do anything to elephants that the elephants don’t like. No riding, no working. They are there just hanging out and eating food :)
Yes for sure. We spent the night there, and the overnight stay included Waking up with elephants (They call this elephant room service) then the only excursion we did was this one: chailaiorchid.com/elephant-care-1-2-day-trip-new/ Hope that helps!
