@BigRoma1 my boyfriend is jamaican knows proper english and WILL NEVER forget or abandon his jamaican patois (what you call broken english, would be a huge insult to him). the only reason why he uses proper english is because ppl are don't know patois, once he is with ppl who knows patois he drops the proper english for patois, cos it's so damn nice to talk patois once you know it, it is actually not broken at all but a very smart and intelligent way of speaking, which is harder than ur english
@MsBonita2020 exactly you are right! my boyfriend is jamaican and he knows both proper and PATOIS n to him patois is a real language not a 'broken' english lol he is teaching me and wants me to speak the same way to him when i go there, normal it is their language! :-)
