I thought India is number1. But was amazed to see the African countries have such large number of elephents. Appreciate the African continent for preserving the wild life. Love and respect from India
How is it suppose to be even india ,did you forget africa exist? The African conitent has the most amount of elephants 70% of all african elephants comes from africa ,sadly the african elephants are endangered because of us humans.

British trophy hunters killed thousands of elephants in Sri Lanka during the 19th century and the early 20th century. Major Thomas William Rogers alone reportedly hunted 2000 Elephants for sports. Over 50000 wild population was reduced to 1500 finally when the British colonizers left Sri Lanka back in 1948.

You should look up Chobe in Botswana and Hwange in Zimbabwe, divided by border, that's where the concentration is. Elephants everywhere!! They removed border fences to allow free movement of elephants in the region.
Very nice Africa. Appreciate the African continent for preserving the wild life. Love from India ❤❤ There are total 33 Elephant Reserves National parks and Wildlife Sancturies in India for elephants which are highly protected 👍👍
In northern part of Botswana they are everywhere. Their movement is not restricted to National parks or Game reserve. You could be walking to school or work in the morning and you will be walking past a herd of elephants

We Thai 🇹🇭, are trying our best to take Thai elephant (Sak Surin) given to Sri Lanka 🇱🇰back because you cannot take care of him properly, living in really bad environment, working hard, couldn't feed him healthy food because of the country's economic crisis!!!
In Congo, we have the largest forest elephant population, a cousin of the savannah elephant. More than 7200 are counted in the biggest National Park. Now working in conservation, I can tell you that most elephants tend to move across a great distance, so it's likely that the country that shares borders has counted in their estimate an elephant moving back and forth. We have collared many elephants to track their movements, one of them spends most of its time in Gabon.
India's national heritage animal is Indian Elephant 🐘 I believe in my country and the prople that the population of elephants will increase ganpati bappa moriya 🙏
Hey man don't say like that... There are many people to oppose this comment... Because they are high class and white peoples If you scold other countries like Asia , Africa no one in comment section to support thats what world politics work
Homie wangu I grew up in Dete a stones throw away from Hwange National Park I hated school so much I would celebrate when parks told us school is canceled because of lose and dangerous elephant kkkkkk
Elephants are amazing creatures. So intelligent! They should be allowed to flourish. All poachers must be stopped from hurting them, no matter the country.

@Daniyal BBD So does Tanzania, Mozambique, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Namibia, and Botswana. All of these countries have the largest populations of elephants in Africa today, with the exception of Mozambique due to the Civil War years. You can brush this off as a coincidence, but reality says otherwise.
Massive respect for Botswana for preserving elephants in their country. Great going Botswana. The rest of the countries with elephant population should take a cue from them.
Respect ❤........... to all the territories who made it to this list..... not a single European country or murica shame........... love to africa...... and asia..........❤ where life begun.
india with high population ,it doing great job, because we see god in every thing and some tribal people protect forest at any cast ,and also worship tree .its our culture ,its our dharma
I was never aware there are so many elephants. Whats even astonishing is probably the smallest country in this list has the largest number elephants. 🇧🇼Botswana take a bow 👏
5:10 Proud of my country Zimbabwe. If it wasnt for all these poachers and traders in animal products such as hides, tusks and the alleged aphrodisiac stuff we would be much higher. The Asian elephant is not as doomed fortunately.
