I agree with you. Seeing how the Chinese are protecting these elephants and providing them with nutritious food has altered my view of China. I love watching the elephants. I watch several series that focus on rescuing them.

People are people no matter what group of wealthy have suckered them into servitude. There's good and bad in every group. We in the USA seem to have more than fair share of the latter.

How about a rare glimpse into the stupidity of moronic 'social justice' movement that cause massive damage to humans in favor of 'theatre'... poor elephants are not in a good place... the trek is folly!

I have observed from watching videos from China that the Chinese authorities love their animals, people and they want their country to be a civilised country where living things and humans are all respected. Good for China!

For you to look at this and only see suffering days a lot about you as a person….. What I saw I. This video was how they were watching and learning about the elephants and also making sure that the villages along the way were kept safe, how they were placing food out for the elephants to lessen the impact on the villages fields, how they were telling insurance companies that they need to payout on the claims that the people put in due to any damage made by the elephants. But all through this they have not once forced the elephants to turn around and go back I like the face they have learned so much from the elephants this past year during their migration. I like the fact that they care enough about both the villages and the elephants that they want to keep them both safe. I also like the face that many of the villages have worked out that if they plant crops in the jungle and wooded areas just for the animals it will stop them from going into their fields and eating their crops. They are finally figuring it out that they can live side by side with nature if they use the same principle I have done when planting out my veggie garden ……….1 plant each for myself and Dad, 3 plants for the local wild life. This is something I have always done so that not only do we get food on the table but also the local,wildlife will also get feed without impacting what I need for the home. I know there was a lot of information in the video but for you to zero in on the suffering but not what they were doing to fix the suffering is just beyond me….. Watch it again only this time open your eyes to all of it. To the fact so many of the people are I love with these elephants and they are not scared of them some of them had never seen an elephant in their lives and you could see the wonder in their faces to actually get to see them for real and it’s a story many will tell their children and grand children in the years to come.

Given the CCP's lack of respect for human life that would have been par for the course, but that is not what they had done so I must admit that at first sight I was somewhat disarmed by this. I am well aware that if they had been humans and Uighurs or Falun Gong then they would be in dead trouble. I suppose this video has been put out to try and counter in some way the torrent of bad publicity the CCP has been getting at a political level but the only thing that would remedy that would be a counter revolution and the leaders arraignment in the dock at the International Criminal Court at The Hague.
