you see the guys sitting on the elephants' necks? those canes with the hooks go right into the elephant's heads if they make a wrong move. I just visited Thailand and nobody should encourage riding of elephants or elephants doing tricks - most of it is achieved unethically.

Yeah but if they do it correctly , they live in luxury.

I would! And I assume they take good care of those elephants over there. Recently read about how elephants are not designed to carry weights on their back, and over time their spine will gradually penetrate the top of their back. :(
