This is such a nice idea for a wedding, no better trees to have at it too! I love how much thought was put into each tree and placement of them (you could start your own Bonsai rental business for weddings) Congratulations to the newly wedded couple! I wish them many happy years together 🤗
Thank you so much Adam - I fear the reality of trying to maintain the trees for a wedding woulod be a little too stressful for me. I had nightmares of happy drinkers accidentally falling into one of the big elms...
Your trees looked fantastic on the tables - specially the 'second' Chinese Elm. Your family are a credit to you, it's so nice to see you all together for the big day. Just a thought - you can call that tree the Wedding Larch!
Good idea - neither of the big ones have been named as yet. That is a very organic process linked normally to suggestions that come in from yourselves :)

I was admiring the miniature irises in the Azalea/lava rock piece n wondering what on earth they were when you proceeded to ruthlessly remove them! However the thyme was inspiring n I’m gonna steal the idea for my Field Maple forest, if it survives! (I made it yesterday!!) I found, and was appalled to read your trip advisor post, sounds like hotel staff down here, from my many experiences at post funeral gatherings. Thank God that aspect of the wonderful wedding will fade, eclipsed by the true joy of the marriage of the lovely couple surrounded by their loved ones. This video is absolutely amazing!!! When you said that your daughter was getting married I wondered if you managed to get some of your Bonsai involved. They all look fantastic and totally unique. Tammi looked made up and very proud of your creations. I’m so glad that you could make her wedding special. I’ll ask the same question you asked me. Did anybody put cigarettes out on any of your Bonsais? 😂 Tammi was definitely a beautiful bride and they make a handsome couple. I bet you shed a few tears bless you. I’m off to Chile next week to see my first grandchild. My granddaughter, Charlie, was born earlier this month. I’ll certainly be shedding a few tears of happiness then. 😊
Have a wonderful trip Gail and thankfully the centrepieces had enough distance to keep curious hands at bay :) Still, a very stressful experience worrying about them - I had to leave them overnight before the event and we were in the middle of that hot spell. No drip trays so they went without water for about 20 hours.
Thanks Jason. I was so worried the trees would become ashtrays or somewhere to chuck drinks as people became 'happier'. Thankfully this didnt happen and everyone had a great day.

It was Tammi's idea but in the end they looked pretty good. I will need better stands if I do this again. I am just so happy that the day went so well and everybody enjoyed themselves. Speeches were all very funny - even mine :)

My feet were like swollen melons by the end of thenight. The last time I danced like this (Badly) was when Zita was alive. It was an overwhelming experience and I am such a proud father. Cheers Martina :)
