I like to use faux flowers outside. A lot of the plants you can’t even tell that they are faux. Beautiful summer oasis. Who’s going to know. You, your family, that’s it. Everything looks lovely!

Honestly, I like both real and faux plants. In my opinion use both or one or the other. On a side note, if you like diffused water maybe put a variety of choice mint plant. Those you can never over water and even if you think you've killed it water it and guaranteed it will come back. I've done a couple of times 😂. Overall, your patio looks like a beautiful oasis for you and your family. I'm so impressed with everything you were able to accomplish in one episode. 💖

I feel your pain with live plants. I think faux plants are making a comeback. Greenery just adds so much to decor (unless you have the half dead ones like me). I can't keep potted outdoor plants in New England let alone Florida's heat and next to a chlorinated pool! I love your topiary pots and think they are a "must keep."

Long as I don’t look fake, they’re not tacky. I use for plants outside a lot too because I can’t keep anything I live in a pot. Everything turned out beautiful as it always does with you.

I put a folding screen in my sunroom to hide the grandkids toys. It makes a huge difference to hide the ugly!

Don't let anyone make you feel bad about faux plants, it's none of their business. This is YOUR video and tutorial, they can do real if they choose to, but you shouldn't feel guilty or get harassed for doing things the way that fits your lifestlye❤ keep up the amazing work! Natalie if you don’t want to go the full height of a foldable screen on wheels cut it down to a height that will still let light in from the windows. You still have it hidden. You just don’t lose the light from the windows. I am about to paint my chairs that match your Chase lounges I have seen how great yours have stood up to the weather. I think a lot of us DIY people let our spaces get out of control. My craft room is always a mess no matter how hard I try! As for the faux plants, you do you, and don't feel guilty! My husband does all the yard work and said he ordered faux plants and flowers from Amazon, I thought, "Oh no" but I have to admit they look so real. When we tell people they are faux, they are surprised. Thank you, Have a very blessed day!

Natalee I’m so here for the faux plants! I am not an outdoor person so therefore I definitely do like bugs so I’ve been considering faux ferns in my front yard to enhance my curb appeal!!! So thank you for the encouragement! 😂 Yes faux flowers/plants has made a comeback and since they are being made to look even more real now many ppl are chooses them! For those who can’t grow real buy faux! 😉

SEVERAL THINGS… I do not have a green thumb either. I would never judge and so agree…the fake greens on your patio look GREAT! The patio looks GREAT….so relaxing. When can I schedule a visit? I’ll bring drinks. 😉 IDEA….The canvas/plastic cover you use for your saw….I would absolutely tackle that in making it monogrammed, or decals all over to match your decor. I think you are so creative you could tackle this and let this be another video. I firmly believe that lack of space is an excellent opportunity to create and “hide” things in plain sight. I love the way it turned out. Even small wood pieced can be used. My dad was a carpenter by trade. He took small scrape wood and made baskets from them with the pieces staggered. They turned out really cute.

Your patio looks gorgeous. There is nothing wrong with artificial plants, of course real ones are nice, but for outside and in the heat, faux is great. They all look beautiful and it beats having to water them constantly. Dolly is so darling.

I’ll take a. Snake over spiders. We have black widows and brown recluse spiders. I wear heavy gloves if I’m moving anything inside or out. Especially one room that isn’t used much. Loved how it turned out.

Every summer, my Aunt would go out in her front yard and plant faux flowers. People would walk by her house and tell her how pretty her flowers were and what did she do to get her flowers to bloom , because theirs were still without blossoms. She would say it was just luck, when all along they were fake. She would even work out the faux ones and put in othes as the season changed. So don't feel bad at all! It looks great!

If you don’t live in Florida, you can not imagine how hard it is to keep potted plants alive! Also, I never imagined how very quickly everything gets dirty. In New England I could go 3 or 4 months before needing to clean the outdoor furniture. I’m lucky if I can go 3 to 4 weeks here on the space coast!

Absolutely gorgeous when you got done..... I would love to have an outdoor area screened in. I think hubby and I are going to enclose ours. I'd love to set out at night but mosquitos can about eat you alive. We got one of those big storage boxes years ago and it was one of the best additions to our patio. Seriously, it holds so much and it is water tight...We have never had anything inside get wet. I also love the little fire feature.... Going to look for it. Thanks hon !

I did a similar top to my Ikea cart in my kitchen to your bbq cart. I have limited counter space and we put a toaster oven on it. I feel “Designed to the Nines” validated!!

I have been under the weather for a while and it gave me the opportunity to sit back and observe my husband, who is retired. When doing ANY project at the end he always cleans up after himself. Love the spruce up! I too think you could make a folding screen that you could put on wheels or some way to make it portable to hide your larger tools and workshop area so that you could keep it accessible and yet hidden when you want to just "close up shop" and relax on your patio without having to put it all away everytime. I love your videos Natalee, the topiaries look great, I have to do that too because of direct sun and deer. Also, my 2 cents - add boxes or bins to the storage container to keep your stuff. I’m always thinking a shelf or basket would help with whatever I’m doing.

Great clean up! Heather’s idea of the foldable screen on wheels is a fabulous idea!! Maybe hinged shutters . You could hang faux ferns in pots. Your accessories add the perfect touch! I love the rug under the table, converted cart, new pillows and lights! As usual you “nailed” it!

I think I am the only English person (happily living in the US) who doesn't like gardening. I usually buy a few hanging plants from a local, fabulous nursery and call it good. Don't feel guilty about using faux plants, they looked lovely.

Love you channel! If you would build yourself several shelves for your corner closet, you could fit a lot more into it. You could also have bins on the shelves to bring in added organization. And if you would recess the shelves in a little, you might also add some hooks on the inside of either door for hanging some long items. Not really sure what you all store in there, but just wanted to offer some suggestions. Thanks for sharing your accomplishments!

I love both faux and real plants. Your patio looks beautiful with all the greenery you've placed throughout! Love the topiary and other picks you chose, all so pretty and fresh looking! Next summer we're going faux on the front porch, since the heat burns up anything we pot there! Out back we inherited a lovely perennial garden from original owners, such a joy giver as things bloom out! We really enjoy it! Inside I z have one real snake plant, while everything else is faux.
