I remember once me and my cousins were in this empty parking lot (the ones with elevators) and we were pressing random buttons and I pressed the alarm button.....never climbed a fence so fast before
I had a weird dream about some woman who went into a lift and smacked the living hell out of it it went halfway up and stoped and said "lift shaft damaged" she tried to call for help but she couldn't cause of the buttons she smacked and rekd THE END
Honestly most of the time its security. Just say ot was an accident. Ive done it before when wanting to press a floor at work. I used another elevator then usual and that one had more buttons for fire escape and such so pressef the emergrncy instead of my floor
My guess is that when the elevator was first installed in the 1970s, the alarm button would have just rung a bell to alert the staff in the building. The bell still sounds, but now they've added an emergency telephone that dials a helpline when you press the button. I think someone answered the call just as the video ends.
Once me, my cousin, and my born-late uncle were playing around at a mall near an elevator. Out of the blue my uncle pressed the elevator button over and over while we laughed. It was all fun and games until the elevator doors opened and revealed the elevator man standing inside.
The dialing noise is there for 2 reasons: to scare anyone whom might of pressed it to think that it's calling authorities, and the other reason is for people to have some sense of hope if it's actually stuck, that's really it. It doesn't actually call anyone.
It does call the call centre, why would it be there if all it does is scare them away? That would be a serious safety hazard. Imagine someone is stuck in the lift, the alarm is the only option to get someone to help you out, why would they have it there to scare people away?
Patrick Bohn swear!! like at school I have to take them! but only on A days but B days I dont!! like my teacher Make me take them to the 3rd floor, Like why can't I take the stairs those are way better!!💯 I've been scared of elevators ever since and I'm still am, and when I go back to school on the 10 even if its A Day or B day I hope it will be B day tho!! and when I go back I hope the elevator still broke💯💯💯😂
This used to by my nightmare when I was little. Not the emergency part. We had a small elevator and it got stuck sometimes, so I dreamt of it starting going down until I was stuck below ground level, no lights, gasping. Terrifying.
Have elevator phobia, I'm sorry you had to experience this, being stuck in an elevator is my worst nightmare, like I'll rather have jump in the ocean with a great white 🦈 than being stuck in an elevator
Otis elevator fan are the best in my room and I'm just saying that the guitar and dance are the same as mine and my guitar is the best guitar and I don't like it when you press the play button on your phone 📱
Just watching this fills me with anxiety because as a kid I was so afraid of pressing more than 1 button and pressing the "red button" I thought the power would go out and I would die, lol
An2nio Productions they won’t arrest you from pressing an elevator alarm button. However if you did it multiple times in the same elevator they would take action.
If you're scared of elevators look up "elevator brake" Its impossible for an elevator to just fall to the bottom of a shaft. Even if you cut the electricity and cut the cables at the same time it wouldn't fall. You might be stuck there for a bit but that's about it.
I’ve seen an elevator like that in an old building that my grandma owned (Or at least she says she’s the landlord of it), but it had automatic doors that open then they sense something touching them (like an arm or something), inside and had a long waiting time.
when I was in crutches I had use the elevator at my school my crutch hit the emergency button and the cops where at the school in minutes I explained to them what happens and they where very forgiving and kind but I was stuck in the elevator for half an hour sorry for the rambling but I know someone would like to know lol if you're reading this then your awesome have a nice day 😂.
Did some work in an old building that had an almost exact same elevator last year (Also in Norway). I had no idea that there were elevators like that, and didnt know how dangerous it was, but after experiencing some awekwardness with the door not shutting properly before elevating and the elevator being very slow to respond, i relised it was way safer to just use the stairs. I could have been in trouble, since nobody warned me about old elevators like EVER in my life.
Seems like the new plot for Outlast, a simple elevator check, gets stuck on the bottom floor, power goes off, and is stuck with a camera to record his way through this. Actually that's not a bad idea...
Wow, I've never seen an elevator like that. Its unsafe, but it doesn't have a door on the actual lift? What if you stood too close to the outer bit? You could get crushed! :o 😨😥
