I hope the bed also has a manually operated hand crank system. Would be a real drag to have a dead battery and then not be able to get your bedroom to come down from the ceiling

It all goes up at the same rate by using one piece of tubing that all four belts are attached to to. So when it turns they all wrap up at the same rate of speed.

what I like is you can still keep stuff on table. that only makes life easier. I hate fully breaking down the table to sleep. I wouldn't even buy into an RV if that's what I would have to do to sleep.

I didn’t go for light weight, I went for quality so the van is pretty heavy. I get 16-17 mpg on my trips to Florida and Alabama from NJ

It’s supported at all four corners by the cabinets, I’d have to say it would hold 4-5 hundred pounds.

No it doesn’t move in any direction but up and down. There are tracks on the cabinet walls in the front that the rollers attached to the bed roll in side of which keep it from going side to side and front to back. The elevator bed is a bit unnecessary if you have a seating area underneath. Just more weight and something else to go wrong. I can understand the drop-down type that they have in A class vans but not this type.
