Not really the last hotel I was in ended up having a faulty elevator and I was stuck for 2 hours, the hotel ended up having to call the local departments over since a gear malfunctioned. Generally, however, this is the most common solution to an elevator issue
There is always a hole for key to open the door, i mean u cant just open elevator doors by just hands, if you insert the key in the keyhole you can easily push the doors without feeling a thing manually! hope this helps!!
Strongly do not recommend doing this if you are not a qualified professional. You are placing yourself and others in a position that could result in serious injury or death. I work in the elevator trade.
@@hawaiiskylineandelevators4115 So I recommend your try one trick:Find a Gen2 with these colored kind of generic indicator.Stay in the cab without pressing a button for like 20 seconds, the cab turn off the lights and the indicator still works. It's the energy saving mode which is like your phone when you may turn off screen to spare battery,it's a feature
@@lucasnassar2778 wow, that’s interesting, if I find one then I’ll try it out lol. Have you checked out the elevators I filmed? 2 of them has an epic motor
Horror movies don’t teach you anything about lift safety. The person in the video is a service technician training to rescue trapped passengers from a stuck lift.
Bruh, I got stuck into an elevator in an old building in Manhattan. I was there for alcohol delivery and had to go to the 4th floor. When I returned to the elevator, I pressed the lobby button and within milliseconds, everything went dark and my greatest fear came to life. I cried for help, knocked as loud as possible, called my workplace to call the customer I just delivered to and let her know about my situation. Thankfully, after talking back and forth on the phone for an hour, they finally managed to run the FDNY and they came in with a whole squad, broke the elevator door down and pulled me out. If it was as simple as this video, I'd have never panicked in there. 😰
Theek mera dost aise hi fasa hua tha, toh maine bhi thik aaisa hi kiya, Now i miss him so much 😭😭😭 Actually woh wire ka line tha na ki elevator kholme ka😭😭
I once got stuck on a elevator when I was littel and I started crying pressing buttons and my family was there tho some guy looked at me and made me calm
Me too,but I was in a scenic elevator at a hometown's shopping mall, the busy movement always tend trespass the number of people allowed inside,it was riding than shook all of a sudden showing "--".So restarts and fixes were done, and safely the lift got to work again. Got 5 minutes around in the cab with 8 people, technicians were agile
False statement. It's never safe to use a drop key to open the doors if you're not a fireman or technician. They usually cut the power to the machinery first just in case the interlock switches fail.
At winter in Israel a couple drowned in Tel Aviv due to flooding of the basement floor , the couple took the elevator to the underground parking , water started to leak inside the elevator and it stopped working. The rescuers took way too much time to help them out , and both of them died by drowning inside an elevator.
