Thank you very much for the video. Few security companies have to do this but my company's management in my specific site are so f.... lazy. They won't teach me how. Because of YOUR HELP, ONLY YOU, I have a chance to save people in a possible armed robbery scenario. No thanks to the security management at my specific site.
Schindlers restrictor arms are trash. I was testing fire service 1&2 and the restrictor got hung up and nothing I could do from inside would close or open the door.
It definitely depends on region. In Poland you can normally use door close buttons but obviously you can't interrupt door that is still opening. I can't imagine living without door close button
My dad was an elevator constructor for almost 40 years. He not only worked on elevators. He also worked on wheelchair lifts, and dumb waiters. He retired from working on elevators five years ago, and now he works as an elevator inspector
Not on schindler, schindler elevators independent service only lets you press a floor button, then it goes, independent service doesn't let the door close button work. The button never works on a schindler elevator except in fire service.
Just experienced an elevator with the no floor buttons inside, you request a destination in the lobby and it queues in the elevator. How do firefighters get to the desired floor in fire service mode on these type of elevators?
Jonathan B interesting, I’m not familiar with this setup. If this is an elevator built after the mid 70’s in the United States I would imagine there is a firefighter control panel located somewhere inside the car. Perhaps behind a keyed access panel.
