Why does this make so much more sense. I do love the poetry of the Korean lyrics, but they at least should've kept the "he says that I'm a 10 but makes me feel like an 11" because it would've made the song make more sense
Yeah the Korean one just seems to show how a man makes you feel happy on a scale of 10, it's 11 But this demo has more meaningful lyrics, which is an important aspect for a good song
This version sounds... sweeter? than the Korean one. Idk, there's just something about it that gives me that bubbly, giddy, squirmy feeling you get with super sweet songs or stories. Tbh I like this more than the Korean one. I'm only in the mood to listen to Eleven like... once a month or so, but this version sounds like one I could listen to almost every day
yesss! i think it also helps that lauren's voice is.. sweeter n overall better than the ive girls (no hate to them, but obviously lauren has been singing for longer)
That's only because of her voice (personally I find her voice too nasal). The korean one sounds better musically. This song is nothing without the instrumental and faster paced singing in the korean version, because the lyrics are too cringe to be in ballad style
i saw some twitter kpop fans being so disrespectful to lauren, like some of yall need to have some respect for the songwriters who are carrying the industry on their backs.
She is a co writer of IVE’s debut song eleven and basically there are a bunch of western song writers that write songs for kpop groups but some crazy hard core kpop fans only think Korean songwriters write koop songs
But then he showed up unexpected out of blue Saying all these things that i already thought i knew Yeah he's got the physical i want it all for real but honestly what i love most is how he makes me feel He won't let me forget He says i fell from heaven Tells me im a ten but i feel like an eleven oh my oh my god He got the words that turn me on Ain't no 1 2 3 4 5 6 7.. He makes me feel like eleven.
So my theorie is: IVE Is like I've (so yourself) their fandom is Dive. Love dive? Narcissistic? Look at the lyrics for both Eleven and love dive. (very self centered. Isn't Ive's whole concept falling in love with yourself?)
The concept for Love Dive is actually very interesting. Just in case you don’t know, it inspired by the Greek mythology about Narcissus, which later named of the personality disorder and also the flower. So in the mythology, Narcissus is killed by drowning himself and the reason is the “love” for his own appearance is too much. In I’VE choreography they emphasize the word “Dive” in the chorus by their hands movements look like a person diving their head into water. They also have a move like looking themselves in a mirror. At first, i thought their lyrics were very weird and make no sense because a narcissist would never love anyone but themselves. Then i realized the whole song is just about them. There was no second person lol.
@@grinchlovesxmasI was thinking the singer is the narcissist. and she is telling her lover to "dive" and their death is the "perfect sacrifice". LOVE DI(v)E.
Why is no one talking about her angelic voice? I felt like I was in heaven... She is so talented, and her voice is so soothing- I could fall asleep listening to this demo with her voice!
guys. koreans don’t rlly say the whole “you’re a 10” compliment that’s why it doesn’t make sense for them to use that. c’mon people. your culture is not everyone’s culture.

Yall talking about how you understand the lyrics to eleven now..just 🤦🏾♀️ Idk Korean and never looked up the translations but the first time I heard the words "you make me feel like eleven" I knew what they meant. How could you not?? Idk i guess cause westerners are always commenting on others appearances and how someone's a ten or not..its just what my mind logically went to.
Same here! I'm shocked people are understanding the meaning of this song only after hearing the lyrics in english. For me, it was obvious just from the title!
Ikr it’s common sense. I feel like people are doing too much. People complain when songs don’t invest in good lyricism but can’t rub 2 brain cells together to work out an implied meaning.
Not a kpop fan, but I've been listening to some songs out of curiosity. It's easy to tell the difference between a song where the parts fit together and flow coherently on one hand and tracks which are built in Pro Tools from multicoloured Lego bricks (lines for the visual that can't sing, lines to show off the lead vocalist's high notes, rap parts, dance break etc) where transitions are jarring on the other. I'm sad that I've didn't record a version with the original lyrics.
Lyrics: And then he came out unexpected from the blue saying all these things that I already thought I knew yeah he’s got the physical I want it all for real but honestly what I love most is how he makes me feel he won’t let me forget he says I fell from heaven says that I’m a ten but I feel like an eleven oh my oh my god he got the words that turn me on ain’t no 1234567 he makes me feel like eleven
I’m honestly surprised at the amount of people who couldn’t put 2 and 2 together. “You make me feel like eleven” made sense from the get go, at least I understood straight away. It seems like a lot of people just don’t wanna use a bit of extra brain power to interpret lyrics if the meaning isn’t spoon fed to you.
Damn I thought Korea was getting really creative on the songs. Turns out, all the creativity is from America lmao. She should do a full english version for sure, soun
I watched the demo and after an hour I scrolled down and found this.....❤ Love your voice I too want to become a singer you are really my inspiration 💖
"the korean lyrics don't make sense" well that's because y'all don't understand korean. anyway, the translation provided by starship is pretty good. i got what the song is about the first time i watched the mv. imo the english translation lyrics are prettier than these lyrics.
Replied to another commenter that said something similar, but just reiterating: Multiple Korean natives have stated that the lyrics don’t make much sense in Korean, either. According to them, it’s just a mash-up of pretty-sounding words without a coherent storyline or emotional conveyance. Hope this helps!
No couse like can you debut instead? I love this 😍 But It's sad that there is so little actual singing involved (like this) in an indistry that was buit on it.
she has been an artist in the industry for 10 years!! she has lots of songs you can check out if you want to hear more of her voice❤ its Lauren aquilina
Actually companies are buying demos (most of them are in English so it explains the English still present in the final song (not all of them but for a lot), and then they change/translate the lyrics in Korean. So yeah, sometimes producers are literally changing the meaning of the original song. But all of these songs are masterpieces. ;)
@@yolo0509 I know but for those who didn’t know it can be helpful. Plus, you didn’t seemed to understand the changes between the demo and the final song.
Yes, the lyrics in this version are also beautiful. But ive also had a 14 year old and 17 year olds so it would’ve been real odd to hear them sing that for a debut. They obviously tried to change the lyrics to fit the self-love concept and make it age appropriate so some lyrics and the clear meaning unfortunately got a little lost in translation but it’s an amazing song the way it was finalised !! This demo version has such a different vibe tho, I’m in love with both of them
Sounds like Liz, they should have kept these lyrics, it made more sense, but the lyrics we have right now really connects with love dive so these are both good.
How do they know an unreleased demo, I'm literally genuinely curious,or is it that the person in the video means it would be like this had the song been in english ( i'm a boomer forgive my dumb ...)xD
Actually, if they kept the original lyrics, kids won't be able to listen and it would receive a lot of hate for the lyrics (yk what I mean) by K-netz and maybe it would even be banned.
I have no idea what translation you used to find the meaning of the lyrics, but I honestly think it makes sense in Korean. I don't know why so many people are criticizing it. I Did the google translation version, and it's messed up.
Most of y'all are asking how she knew the demo. She is Lauren Aquilina and she co-wrote the song. You probably knew her because of the song King (or You can be king again)
