3 Things I Learned In This Scene: 1. Nance could've left and looked for some actual hospital staff 2. Mike is an amazing boyfriend 3. El is badass

2:03 I really appreciate this shot of Will’s face during the whole scene. Out of all the kids, you can tell that he’s the most terrified of the group, because he actually *KNOWS* what it was like to be controlled by such a powerful, sinister entity. You can see the genuine fear in his eyes because he is physically witnessing the true extent of the Mind Flayer’s power. Will has a personal connection to the Mind Flayer because he was one of its victims, making this scene all the more powerful!

The expression of El when she gets choked by billy at 2:05 gave me chills,it looked way too realistic.

The fact that its been like 10 seconds, Eleven is dying but then when she literally cant breath anymore Mike helps.

I was so hyped the first time I watched this scene

At 1:47, you could *see* that Billy was sorry. That apologetic look he gave to Max shows that he was fully aware of what was happening, but he was powerless to stop the Mind Flayer controlling his actions. He was a prisoner in his own body.

This is real acting, the hat down. : O

The way Lucas just puts his arm in front of Max to protect her at 1:15 makes me so happy

the way El put herself between Mike and Billy to ensure that if she lost her grip, Billy would have to go through her before he could reach Mike-gets me every time

Mike saving El, then El saving Mike. Mileven has my heart 🤧❤️

Fun fact: when El fell into Mikes arms at the end of the fight that wasn’t acting. It was Millie, she collapsed into Finn’s arms from actual exhaustion because they had been filming for hours

Okay so why is no one talking about how extremely powerful eleven is. She literally was almost killed by billy. Then uses that last tiny bit of her strength to levitate billy and not only just in one spot she turned him around and threw him out a BRICK WALL. Then busted threw the door at the hospital and threw up and down left to right then out a window a monster that was 59x her size. Then holds off the mind Flayer then gets dragged across the room and alarmist killed again then gets the tiny thingie monster thing ripped off her leg then still uses what left of her. Then flips a car let’s Jonathan cut open her leg without any numb ish then take out herself. ELEVEN IS A BADASS and stronger then we think

The fact that billy put a fight against with a telekinesis powered girl that threw a 150 pound weight at him at 10 miles per hour is something that makes me love this villain

At :53 the way she pushes them behind her. Just shows how good of a friend eleven is. And how much she loves them all.

This will forever be my favorite scene from Stranger Things. You truly see the connection El has with Mike and vice versa 10/10

That moment when he breaks the door open and stares at Eleven and she stares back showing that he indeed remembers her and realizes she’s a threat to him like two mortal enemies staring each other down love it

To think that 001 was the one behind every attack and monster and billy….it all makes sense why every monster hated Eleven …not because she closed the gate but sent 001 to the upside down making him vecna and the first monster

Millie’s acting was really proven how fantastic she is! Same with Dacre. This season they had some of the best scene!

It’s rare to see Eleven scared and terrified, I hate when this happen, she doesn’t deserve this, this is so sad to see her like that 😢

I always remember this scene. Millie Bobby Brown and Dacre Montgomery's chemistry together. Was probably some of the most believable acting I've seen in many years.

This was my one of my favourite scenes from the whole season I’ve watched it again and again so many times Like when Mike saves El, then El saves Mike Omg I just love them so much

I loved the buildup to this. The whole time I'm like "Ohhhh, she's going to fight him! She's going to fight him! This is going to be so good! I'll bet she's going to lose this one too, which means we'll actually get a sort of "anime battle" with some real emotion and suspense and stuff!" Boy was it ever. Watching him push back the barbel was a total ":O WTF?!!!" moment. And it was utterly heartbreaking when he had her by the throat like that.

That was such an intense moment🤯🤯

In the first two seasons, that's exactly the thing I missed about the villains: namely, that physical threat! I mean, even Eleven was almost killed here!

This scene is a masterpiece...it really shows what the mind flayer is capable of when it’s taken over the body of a victim, plus, this scene’s gotta be one of the scariest scenes in the series. Millie and dacre’s incredible acting in this scene is definitely what completes this scene and what makes it so scary...you can see the pain and fear in el’s eyes when she’s choked...as always, an amazing performance by Millie. But it’s not just the scariness of this scene that makes this scene such a masterpiece, it’s the little details too. You can see that he looks at max right before he chokes el...this is because BILLY doesn’t wanna choke her, and he doesn’t want max seeing him choke her because max and el are besties. Deep down, billy doesn’t wanna choke her, but he doesn’t have a choice because like he said when he was trapped in the sauna, “he’s making me do it.” The mind flayer is making him do it because the mind flayer needs el to die. Luckily for the mind flayer, the mind flayer has billy. You can also see that he looks kinda guilty for what he’s doing to el. Whenever you don’t see billy with black veins in this scene, you know it’s billy. Whenever you do see billy with black veins, you know the mind flayer’s taking control. In horror movies, I find people getting possessed by something pretty scary, so this scene was scary to me. This scene did a great job demonstrating what possession is like👍 I think Billy’s strength in this scene also makes this scene a lot scarier, just because his strength is so inhuman-like. Without the mind flayer possessing him, billy was already strong enough, but with the mind flayer possessing him...he’s pretty much the hulk. I’d say a lot more good things about this scene because there are a lot more good things about this scene, but I’m not making this comment any longer than what it is. Overall, this scene is such a masterpiece. Watching it was like a rollercoaster of emotions! Hopefully we get some more scenes just like this in season 4...

The Mind Flayer in Billy's body has been genuinly the most scary threat in the series. An abusive person, someone you feel close to, someone with his emotions all shattered and messed up, someone who's getting condamned to continuous torment. It's scary not only because he's already a messed up human to use as a vessel, but you also have him there to both feel sad for him but also show you how you can end up. I think they nailed Billy's character
