Fun fact : the original name was in german as elgar's wife spoke german well. Though they were both brittish. He offered her the piece for their wedding. It was translated in french because he thought it would sell better especially in europe.

Yeees.. I like these pieces too -especially the Liebestraum no.3 :))) But thank you for mentioning them, I will listen to the ones I don't remember hearing yet :) But with the story of this piece it has this special something I love, maybe I'm just in love with the whole love story of E. Elgar and his lovely wife.

Traum. As usual you come up with a piece that not all knew but you kiss the keys with a tenderness that somehow portrays the emotions of Elgar ....and everyhone falls in love with Elgar ! Most of Elgars work is more pomp and ceremonious. Thankyou Traum .

I first heard Salut d'amour from O2jam. I missed that game.. that's the reason I fell in love with classical music. That version is faster and lively though. 😁
