Great review and great product. But what really suprised me is how good the C920 still looks. I guess in a well lit studio setup the sensor size does not make that much of a difference!
Thanks! The C920 has stood the test of time pretty well. If you're not watching on a 4k/5k display it will do a decent job. It just starts to fall apart when you need to crop in. Otherwise, it's still a popular webcam :).

I just upgraded to the facecam pro and I can not get the coloring right. No matter what I do my lips look super red or my face looks to white or orange. It’s like I have to turn my lights so bright to the point they are blinding me to get the colors correct. So bright that I can play my game bc I can’t see. Any advice or help would greatly be appreciated!
I would think 10-100 Mbits depending on Bitrate and codec. Webcams use heavily compressed H264/H265 codecs, its by far not as demanding as a RAW or ProRes or even DSLR H264 codec.
Will adding that sennheiser MKE shotgun microphone with the 20-60 mm lens kit still within the hohem isteady Limits for my Panasonic lumix s5ii X. Great camera really happy with it, worth the price. Bought it on your recommendation. And so glad I did 😮
For $500... A Sony a5100 with a dummy battery still wins. (Comes with a with flip screen and the ability to swap lenses.) Not 4k though, but unless you're viewing the output on a giant TV screen, I'm not sure it matters. The biggest real benefit of the Elgato Webcam is that you don't need a capture card. That's an extra $100 you don't need to spend.
Actually you need 4k to get good 1080p quality, because when you upload it will be compressed but still looks clear, if you use 1080p and upload it 1080p it will look less sharp, different from compressing 4k to 1080p, that's why some channels with 1080 resolution look sharper even like 4k. I personally prefer webcams over second-hand cameras.
@@SebatasPemikiran I'd have to test that 4k to 1080p sharpness strategy, (I only recently acquired a 4k camera), but based on my extensive previous experiments, it sounds on the face of it like a vanishing returns proposition unlikely to make the kind of difference anybody would actually notice, if indeed there is a net positive quality difference at all. However, one of the genuinely huge differences on RU-vid between clean and ugly video quality is the back-end codec. -Channels with high viewership are awarded special algorithmic care by the Masters of the Universe; Right click on a video, (like the one above) and check out the "Stats for Nerds" option. The codec on good videos is something called, "vp09". The rest of us media peons have our videos graced with a much lower resource hungry budget codec called, "avc1". The difference is night and day. HOWEVER, and this might be related to what you're seeing. (I don't know if it's still the case today), but a year or two ago, when you uploaded in 4k, RU-vid would automatically use its vp09 codec. -I was actually artificially upscaling my 1080p videos to 4k just to capitalize on this quirk, and suddenly my stuff looked good again, even when the playback is in a lower resolution.
@@SebatasPemikiran Comment deleted. Why? Well.., let's just (vaguely) touch on the key points and cross our fingers... Right click on video. Look at stats. Look at the codec. Compare between small and large content creators. There's two. One isn't very good. Solution: Upload in 4k (even artificially upscaled from 1080p) to get the favorable compression. It's not your camera.
Is the tiny2 at 30fps quality noticeably better than the Elgato FaceCam Pro's 4K at 60fps for content creation, or is the difference marginal for most users?
Do you think the obsbot camera's performance outshines other webcams like the Logitech C920 and Elgato FaceCam Pro, or is it a matter of personal preference?
